Calm wind becoming west around 5 mph in the afternoon.

North wind 5 to 10 mph becoming east in the afternoon.

We're going up to Phoenix for lunch with Carol's younger sister today.

Although I’d take Az over Mn 99 days out of 100. Have you driven from AJ over to Roosevelt and Payson area? It’s a nice drive. A trip up to Prescott is always nice too.

It snowed here for about 2.5 minutes this morning. Headed to 40 +/- today. I need the snow gone so I can put in a new driveway for the house, and one for the shop. Been driving and parking on the grass for a year now!

69° early this morning. It's been kind of ONE of those mornings so far. I just had cereal and coffee for breakfast. Hopefully thing will get better.

Gene, those pictures are both beautiful and ugly at the same time. Beautiful for the view but ugly for the work required to move all that snow.

Here I woke up to 25 with sunny skies. I slept in as I stayed up past 11:00 (yeah I know) to watch the Gonzaga game so I missed the local news but I expect we’ll see the mid 30’s for a high. Taking Mrs. Hatchdog to a doc appt. Later and meeting a guy to trade a pound of powder I won’t use for some bullets. Don’t really need the bullets but he’s in need of the powder (IMR 4895) So I’ll help out a 2A brother.

11:18 AM and I just finished my second cup of coffee .... the first cup came with breakfast around 6AM .... after breakfast I drove our Sportchassis to North Raleigh to have 4 new 255/70R22.5 retires installed .... we saved $200 per tire by buying them through the Family Motor Coach Association .... the cost of good tires that size never ceases to give me a raging case of sticker shock .... to get there required driving in Raleigh's morning rush hour traffic which ain't fun .... having not driven our big truck since December, it took a while to feel at home .... while the old rear tires had some tread left on them, they were worthless on wet surfaces .... they provided too little traction for a truck with a mountain of torque ....

We always go home from here through Payson and I agree, it's a beautiful drive.

I might think it was ugly if I had to plow it to go to work but being retired makes it beautiful and gives me a reason to play on my tractor.

I was able to drive the tractor through and remove the snow with the front bucket. Overall I had very little shovel work.

Yes, I used to hate snow removal when I had to start removing it at 5AM on a cold windy morning. Now since most of my home snow moving can be done with my plow, very little shoveling and I can wait until I get up at my regular time and I've had my coffee and breakfast I don't mind it at all.

This winter has been unseasonably warm with only a low of -15F for a few days instead of the -40F for a month. It’s been mainly in the teens and twenties for lows and highs about freezing and a few days like yesterday it reached 40F.

From what I’m told we received above normal snow but not by much. I moved here in the middle of winter last year so this will be my first complete winter in Wisconsin.

There is only two seasons here -winter and preparing for winter.

Only got down to 69 here overnight and its 72 right now at 8:30 CST. Humidity at 99%. Not sure whats on tap today but it will be another nice day here.

looking out the window, we most certainly are having a beautiful but much cooler day in Central NC .... yesterday's high temp was 78, today they are calling for a high of 58 .... tonight they say it will drop to 34 so frost can't be ruled out .... not much on our schedule for today back to medical appointments tomorrow
