At least you were able to fix it. That splice must have been pretty helpful in making the job "easier".
Definitely. I was shopping for the usual male/female threaded couplers that I had used before. The old way I'd have to dig up enough pipe to get a bend that would allow me to get the threads started and because of that bend it was a wrestling thing to get the threads aligned.

The new telescoping splice I'd never seen before so hesitant to try it. Easy-peasy. Screw one end into the pipe, hose clamp it. Telescope out the other end, screw it into the pipe and hose clamp it. Pressure check for leaks - Done.

Guy has a Marlin 25-20 listed on our local trader site. Looks like a lot of fun but I think I would want a 32-20 to compliment my modest collection of 32 caliber firearms. No need whatsoever but WTH, who needs need to enjoy something.

Hey Hatch, my oldest pair of lever guns.
The Winchester is the 25-20 from 1912, and the Marlin was made in 1899 and chambered in 32 colt.
Both are 1892's.

Thanks Tom. I'll see what I can do, I was shooting the Winnie the other day.
Even with the rear sight elevator totally removed it still shoots extremely high at 50 yds.
It's been a while since I shot the Marlin.
Won't be today though, as the wind is howling out there.
Expecting some 60 mph gusts, and are under a tornado watch til 6pm. ;)

Nasty cold and rainy day. Just perfect to create a new 45 Colt load with some 200 gr. RNFP bullets. I decided to go lighter with the bullets since all I shoot is paper and some steel.

The press is working hard:
