Is that a bad thing? There is strength in numbers. But, it can be hard to keep up on too many forums. I decided against joining others for that reason. There is only so much time in a day. And, some should be spent playing or shooting. And, there should be time for beer also. Oh yeah, and the wife.
The ones that I frequent the most are here and MO, castboolits, and LevergunScoundrels.
And I also squeeze a little time in for Werk. :o
Something I have to do today.

Yes, the grind can be a pain. But, I like eating and sleeping. So, I keep at it. Yet, my days are numbered. Then, more time for shooting and beer. Oh yes, of course, and the wife.

Here is a couple of 22s..

If I am right, the Glenfield is a 1979 M60 and the S&W is a 1971 Model 17.

Hey Mike, if the first two numbers of the sn are 21, then you are correct.
Nice looking pair you have there.

Love those squirrel stocked Glenfield M/60’s. That was my first firearm and I’ve had a soft spot in my heart for them ever since. Don’t currently have one but I have traded in and out of a few as an adult. Oh the memories…….. bought it 1974 in North Dakota and there’s no shortage of ground squirrels (ground hogs as they are called there). I did my part to eradicate the population.

It is a 21 serial#, I had two '74s and an early 90s Marlin 60, traded those away, kept my dad's (this one) pulled the stock and refinished it - it had some blemishes I knew would come out and I REALLY disliked the color it was so...
I'll tell ya, getting all that checkering and such "scrubbed" out was a lesson in patience! But I was totally satisfied with the results, I believe it is just multiple coats of Tung oil. And its a good shooter!

My first modern 22LR was a Marlin M60 - great little rifle, took it's share of ground squirrels :D

This one has a special place in my heart. I also have a Mossy mdl 25? from 1936 - single shot bolt that I refinished (water damage) the wood on and it has turned out to be a great little shooter, sheet metal sights and all, 1936 is my dad's birth year, so...
