WOW! What's the reason for that? Caly, becoming anti racing as well as anti gun?

RP
during the commentary, they said the track of land on which the race track sits has been sold .... they have kept 90 or so acres to build a short track .... they also reported that today's race is sold out

Kyle Busch wins it !!

I figured that the Childress/Busch combo was going to be dominate and so far so good.

Almost won it last week and won it this week.

I've always been a fan of his, he is one heck of a driver.
Congrats to him and RCR.

There Nascar goes again. Unless 100's of people all went for a Hot Dog at the same time, there were plenty of empty seats. Unless some were sold in advance and people just didn't show up, possible.

Sometimes they will black the race out if they are not sold out. This makes the network buy the seats to broadcast the race.

Sold out is more media BS, they don't even know the last time they filled the stands.
Probably over ten years, Millennials ain't buying tickets.
the sport is dying. Young people don't give two hoots about it.
Bristol, used to be one of the hardest tickets to get, I've been there a few times.
I couldn't tell ya the last time it was packed.
Probably the last time was when Tenn and VA played a football game there.

camera coverage showed that Daytona was packed last week .... per FOX, their TV coverage of Daytona was ranked as the most-watched show of the weekend..... camera coverage yesterday was misleading .... as can be seen below, Auto Club Speedway bleachers are located between turn 4 and 1 .... the reason most background shots don't show people is simply because most of the track doesn't have bleachers .... those pictures showed a big crowd attendance estimates show about 50,000 .... TV ratings released this morning show 4.57 million household viewers on FOX

I'm always curious on how many show up to races and the empty seats I saw yesterday were sky view camera shots looking down at the track and bleachers at the start and at various times during the race.

Fox couldn't tell how many of us antenna guys were watching or not, lol, but I'm sure their stats are pretty good estimates.

the Cup and Truck series move to Las Vegas this weekend .... I'm really interested in seeing how Hailie Deegan does in Friday night's NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series Race she drives the No 13 Ford F-150 for ThorSport Racing.... this season should tell if she has what it takes to move into the upper echelon group of drivers

She's a nice girl and has interesting YouTube videos but I believe her celebrity status will be greater than her driving success, but time will sure tell.

Right, and my predictions became true with Danica.

Comparing the two, the difference with Hailie is that she is a real nice person. I don't think she'll be cussing anyone out like Danica did. Although she can sure stand up for herself, lol.

Danica actually had a fairly respectable Indy career
12th 9th 7th 6th 5th & 10th in the championship across 6 seasons is more than respectable throw in a race win as well and better than a lot of drivers achieve.
Nascar was a lot different and seems to be what everyone remembers of her for.

Have had a number of women drivers race supercars in Aus probably the best known would be Simona de Silvestro, she raced 3 full season and a number of one off drives. Best championship result was 19th and a 7th and 10th were her best race results in 91 starts. She too has had a far more successful Indy career with 13 top ten and a podium from 71 starts.

Danica's Indy record gave many of us high hopes for her .... Indy racing requires precision driving, no fender rubbing .... I believe that she had trouble adapting to the difference
