That's a cool link, thanks for posting it. Good stout leather work.

Re: Montana Gun Leather
I have one that I swap between my center fire Henry's. I really like it and really need another one or two. They are very simple and quick to adjust. There are no buckles to mess with and therefore no buckles to make contact with tree stands or other metal objects that make noise when hunting.JCN wrote:Has anyone tried one?

OK good to know. I may give it a try. I've been considering (for a long time now) buying one from www.gunstockcover.com but these look to be a little more affordable and simpler.

The Montana sling is not fancy just functional. The sling in this video is similar to the Montana sling.

They are the best leather sling available for the price. The sling hardware is also USA made GrovTec. I have the fancier border stitched model with stainless swivels.
Re: Montana Gun Leather
I am placing an order for one through www.midwayusa.com. I buy a lot of my accessories and ammo here so when free shipping opportunities come around I jump on it. Just noticed these slings were available here.

Re: Montana Gun Leather
Just pulled the trigger a couple of days ago on the "Johnny Lancer" for my Henry 45-70 Brassy. It will be mid-spring before I receive it from what I've read, but I'm in no rush....deer season is over here. Will let you know how it works out when I get it if you like. Thanks for the post!JCN wrote:OK good to know. I may give it a try.
