New Marbles tang sight
I have a Henry Golden Boy, I’ve had the gun for yrs, and I’ve always wanted a tang sight for it. So I finally pulled the trigger, I got it back from the Smith last week and finally got her zeroed. Those Marble tang sights are really nice, they’re super easy to get on target and hit what you aim at. Now I’d really love to get one on my .357 Big Boy, but Henry in their infinite wisdom put the serial number on the tang which might or might not have legal implications.

Re: New Marbles tang sight
I have Marble's tang sight on several of my lever guns and like them. I thought I might have trouble with the sight getting in the way of my grip but that only seems to be a problem with the Frontier. I read a post on another forum that instead of using the stock screw on the Frontier, you can drill two new holes farther forward to solve that problem.

That’s what the instruction included with the Marble tang sight said to do,
and it worked perfectly.

The tang site looks at home on it.

Re: New Marbles tang sight
I have a tang on my Winchester 1892 and really like it. I've only shot it at 50 yards and don't know what I could do with 100 yards as far as accuracy goes, but I can get a really nice group at 50.

Re: New Marbles tang sight
Well as I said, I just got the rife back from the smith, and yesterday was a really nice day here in central Indiana. So I zeroed it from 50 yards, the wind age adjustment was spot on, but the bullet impacts were about 6 inches high, so it was a simple matter to just walk the bullet impact down until I was in the ten ring. Easy shmeasy, after that at 50 yrds she was spot on, those are great sights easy to see through and easy to hit what your aiming at. It’s just too bad the serial number on my Big Boy is on the tang, or I’d for sure put one on my Big Boy!

Check with your gunsmith to see if he can legally make a copy of the serial number somewhere else on the rifle.Wabash kid wrote: ↑Wed Feb 22, 2023 12:17 pm... It’s just too bad the serial number on my Big Boy is on the tang, or I’d for sure put one on my Big Boy!
