Whew! 9.5gr Unique/250gr RFN. Randy, those going thru a rifle? How is that load? Shazaam!
 Yes, the Marlin Cowboy. ;) they perform right well.
I have shot some 10.0 grs. :o once, not bad.
I shot some of these last summer but I can't find the targets.
And, I want to run some through the Rossi.
May do it tomorrow, if so I'll post a report.

RP
That's a good load there and have used it for my Ruger Bisley Blackhawk and is a standard load for my 454/45 Colt Alaskan. Have shot some 10 gr. Unique with a 300 gr. hammer head bullet thru the Alaskan and the big grip just soaks it up. Above that it is time for Alliant 2400. Have some Underwood 45 Colt HOT 250 XTP ammo that is rated at 1450 FPS !! and don't know what powder they use but it shoots a nice big fireball out the Alaskan!!

Hatch have you tried any ballistic gel test with those loads? They look good!
No I have never used gel. I wonder if the rifle club I shoot at would ever allow it. I can always shoot at a gravel pit up the road so could use it there.

Went out and killed 100 pigeons today. . . . OK, they were Clay . . . . Ok, I only killed 91 out of 100 . . . . Ok, I only killed 85 and wounded 6. Anyway, weather was 70, some cloud cover and a perfect day to shoot !

Now I have to reload this weekend to do it again on Monday !

I hope you were able to track down the 6 and put them out of their misery!

70 degrees......nice.....I almost can remember that temp. Right now it's -4 outside. But to be fair, it was + 7 during the day today!!!! Time to go shooting!

It's a tough job, but, someone has to do it r-n-g!! I'll be in the desert next week myself for some lead slingin'. Seems to be pretty nice out there right now and hopefully for the next few days.

Well RT, you know I am willing to make the sacrifice for the team, in fact, for the good of the team I am going back out Monday ! ! ! You should hit some very nice weather in your neck of the woods next week, as long as no foreign balloons float by ! (then again, there's your moving target)

Hey Tom, I ran a few of those 45's through the two rifles this morn.
The Rossi actually did slightly better than the Marlin.
That peep on the Marlin needs to be lowered it's way to tall.
And my inexpensive Winnie didn't disappoint today either as it shot better than the other two. :o
