Cool stuff at 2023 ShotShow

Post by GunnyGene » Thu Jan 19, 2023 2:07 pm

Holosun DRS Day/Night/Thermal hybrid optic. Just the thing for night hunts - oinkers and coyotes, etc.

About $1600 estimated cost when it comes available.

Wait awhile for others to make them and price will come down. Would be great for a home defense weapon in the dark.

Chicken. I used to walk Shore Patrol once a month in downtown back in the late '60's. Even the night MLK was shot (which was a very long night, btw), with nothing but a billy club, a chest full of ribbons, and a don't mess with me demeanor.

Hell, back in the 80-90's I would go down there quite a bit to see concerts, comedians, and even races.
Now I would not care if they were right across the street and free, I don't have any desire to see em or be around that many people at one time.
Back a year or so ago, I took the wife down there to the airport, she was flying out to see the daughter.
After dropping her off I decided to go to the big Bass pro, the state had pretty much dropped that foolish mask mandate.
But not Memphis, they said I had to wear one, I told no I don't and there is not a D*** thing in your store I can't live with out.
Turned around went back to the car and left the city.
Now that's the only time I ever go back is to take her or pick her up, and I Never spend a penny in the POS city.
It's the Arm Pit of the state, and that's the nicest thing I have to say about it.

Vaquero, do I detect some animosity about your city?

On another note, I saw that Ruger/Marlin showed a 336 and an 1894 at SHOT. I’ll bet they will show some interest from us lever fans.

Oh, it's not my city Bud.
I'm at least 100 miles from that dump.

Yes Ruger has reintroduced the 336 in 30-30 with plans for the 35 Rem.
The 1894 in 44 mag. and I haven't heard what else but would go out on a limb and say the 357 won't be far behind.
They are saying early 2023.

Like Portland OR. Don't go any where near when I can help it.
