If you are up for it, I want to start a gardening and tractoring section on the forum. Can I count on you posting more pictures like that in it?

Nice day on tap here in Franklin County, a high of 58* predicted with a bit of wind. Rio Grande coffee in the Jack Russell terrier mug this morning. I once had a Jack Russell named Spencer, most fantastic dog.

Good morning everybody! It's chilly and wet today for a change, but generally not too bad. Enjoy your coffee!

It's interesting to read all the chatter going on back and forth. Sometimes some one will say something and get no response and then the next you have a conversation with someone.

As for me I'm going to walk six miles of the Tolt Pipeline in about and hour. The pipeline is within walking distance of where I live but I hate cars so I usually drive to the trailhead. The pipe has a wide right of way and nothing can be built on top. There is a graveled service road in the middle of the right of way and you can walk, ride horse back, and take dogs off-leash. It is a straight line in the wondering hills and to each side is houses. It connects to other trails and I can walk all the way from Lake Washington to Snoqualmie Pass. That is about a 60 miles by the way the crow flies.

The entire three county area has many trails even in the cities. Often you can hike three miles in a park, walk two block in city streets just to be on another trail where you can hike another three miles.

Sounds nice. Old railway corridors make great trails too. It's rainy and cool here today. Next week should be nice for moving cattle, frosty mornings and cool days. Coffee in Roy Rogers mug.

I percolated some coffee this morning and I just heated it back up. I know, don't heat up old coffee. I did and I'm enjoying it.

We did a fitness climb of a mountain this morning. The trail had an inch of snow and it was slippery. I was weighed down by all I usually carry plus a .45 acp revolver and 12 extra cartridges, but we made it in the same amount of time (14 minutes 18 seconds) as we did this summer in just short sleeves and shorts. It was snowing at the top and we could not see anything but each other. It's .6 miles with a gain of 780 feet. It has fantastic views on good days.

36* at 4:30 AM. This is opening day for turkey here in Pa. I don't hunt on Saturdays so I am going to York to the gun show and then back down to Hagerstown, Md. to the drag races. Supposed to be a really nice day in the upper 70's so I am going to get in another race this week end and one more hopefully next week end and then it's over until spring for me. Going by myself as this is my wife's week end to work. Going to be a long day with the race probably lasting until dark. Have to dig the Sako 222 out of the safe for turkey hunting next week and I have been seeing quite a few big flocks where I have been hunting squirrels. Every body have a nice week end.

So far so good here in Southern California. There were many reports of storms coming through. The OC Sheriff's Dept was actually using helicopters to scan the riverbeds (completely dry of course) and alert folks living there that they may flood this weekend. Never heard of that tactic before....

I read this Les, and thought, "Where could this guy be that it could be getting light?"; then I saw your location.

I will be home in 3.5 hrs and a half hour after that it gets light

It's 40 now and it will be that all day. Overcast too.

We went up Owls head as fast as possible yesterday. 15 minutes, 23 seconds from bottom to top.

I was winded when I got to the top, but it's nicer to know that I can do it non stop. It's a good work out too.

Not sure what today brings. Likely a hike somewhere.
