It was 61° this morning and now only 2 degrees warmer. I've got to do some buffing of sax keys this morning. I just had cereal and coffee for breakfast.

33 heading to maybe 40 with rain. Supposed to rain all day. Extended forecast is for very mild temps for the next week. I’m getting a nice slow melt of the snow and so far I haven’t had any ponding. Our well is served by an aquifer so this slow melt couldn’t be more perfect.

We’re going to a retirement lunch today and then stopping by Costco afterwards. Sounds like a good way to spend a wet Thursday. We’re thinking about making a trip to Arizona this spring to take a look at properties and RV parks so we’ll have to start doing some planning.

The warm weather is gone for a couple of days but we did dodge the snow so thats a plus in my book. 28 degrees now so not warm, but certainly not bad like it could be in january, so i wont grunt too loud, lest old man winter say "oh, ya think thats cold and nasty do ya? Just watch this...." i say let sleeping dogs lie.....

I see Elvis’ daughter passed away. Wow a startling number of younger people dropping dead lately. 54 is way too young.

51 on its way to 54 later today under a beautifully clear Carolina Blue Sky .... cold temps are once again on the way starting with dropping to 35 tonight .... a report this morning on one of our local TV stations called for a rain/snow mix tonight .... around here the word snow in the forecast almost always causes a panic .... I'd bet the grocery stores are already jammed .... back to a regular breakfast of two fried eggs covered with shredded cheese and served with our smoked sausage ....

Yep, pictures of her on the TV showed her to be a bit gaunt. I'm wondering if she had some kind of liver damage as well as heart problems. I guess we'll know eventually.
It was 41°this morning on the dog walk. The local temp is now 50°. I don't have a lot of work today so don't know what I'll do. I know what I NEED to do but that's a different story. I cooked eggs, bacon, toast and coffee for breakfast.

The clouds are supposed to move out and sunshine will prevail. Then the south
winds will bring a January thaw for the next few days. Normal for Minnesota.
I've got a little shop work this morning and then we will travel into Murderapolis for
our little grandson's ninth birthday.

37 on its way to 45 .... gloomy sky .... talk about an excited 6 year old .. ... a few flakes of snow are falling .... this is the first time our 6 year old grandson has seen snow falling .... its not going to amount to anything but he's glued to a window watching .... the grandson mentioned spent the night with us and as become a tradition "helped" Maureen cook breakfast .... no way she'll let him do so without very close (make that VERY CLOSE) supervision

Very true Mags. I looked at one rural place online that was very attractive until I read about the double 2600 gallon water storage tanks. No thanks, I would never want to be dependent on a delivery of water. I’ve been looking a little bit at homes in the town of Prescott which would be on some sort of municipal water system. I’m really leaning away from moving but am open to doing a 5-6 month rent on a RV site.

Since I’m not in Arizona I’m enjoying a very wet 34 with a high climbing into the upper 30’s. WOW, beat that Arizona. Not much scheduled today other than watching the Seattle Seahawks play the San Francisco Fourtyniners at 1:30 and the Gonzaga Bulldogs taking on the Portland Pilots at 7:00. Not much hope hope for the Hawks but the Bulldogs should handle the Pilots fine.

Prescott is a nice place. Have in-laws there. Sedona is our favorite, but too overrun by tourists. We looked at large lot horse properties just west of Rio Verde (east of Scottsdale). Five to 10 acre lots. Very flat there. That and water issue have us looking elsewhere. Cottonwood looks interesting.

Here 45, wet not raining, more rain expected later. Tea, honey on toast and yogurt cup.
