Another rainy day here.Low 50's most of the day, a bit windy. Not sure what today has in store, might straighten up the shop and fool around in there.
Nothing going on outside with the rain.

28 on its way to 55 later today .... no rain .... back to just above freezing temps tonight .... only thing on today's schedule is Maureen providing transportation for a medical appointment for a friend in a town 20 some miles south ....
Re: Our Morning Coffee and Weather
31 heading to 40 with freezing fog out there. My wife has a doc appt this morning and I’m the designated driver so Yipee for me.
I hear on the news that it’s a slippery mess out there, I understand Interstate 90 is closed eastbound near Ellensburg (central Washington) due to slide offs and wrecks.
Otherwise not much on tap for today.

Re: Our Morning Coffee and Weather
It was 60° and foggy this morning on the dog walk. It's 66° now. I just had cereal and coffee for breakfast. Trying to get over TCU's embarrassing show at the football game last night.

Cloudy, low of 14 with a high of 26. One of my grandkids was skating after school yesterday and fell and broke off one of their 2 front teeth. Managed to find the tooth (both parents work) and she had be at the dentist by 7:30 so we took her to the big city.

Re: Our Morning Coffee and Weather
51° at this moment. Thats the sort of temp to start a january morning a guy could get used too. Of course, it wont last cause this is missouri and so winter temperatures can and often do zing from extremely nice to hellish cold in the course of a few days. Always stay hopeful we will have a mild winter... looks mildly promising for the next ten days. I will take it. Cutting some cedar sprouts on some rent pasture this morning. Stuff and stuff....coffee seems good this morning. No complaints with quiet days working outside when its nice.

Re: Our Morning Coffee and Weather
Fog/Mist, 27°F, Humidity 100%
Wind Speed Calm, Barometer 29.78 in
A slight chance of snow and freezing rain before 8am.
Patchy fog before 3pm. Otherwise, cloudy, with a high near 31.
Coffee is really good this AM. I am very happy to be retired today. The roads are glare ice and
the FAA, (where I was a Supervisor), has a massive computer failure. Soooo, I will sip my coffee
and watch the news and smile.
Not my problem.
I have a large beef soup bone that I'm going to simmer for a couple of hours this morning, and
them start adding veggies to make soup. This is one of my favorite things to do in the Winter.

Re: Our Morning Coffee and Weather
36 on its way to 59, no rain .... regular breakfast of 2 fried eggs covered with mild shredded cheddar cheese, my favorite local hot sausage, and a steady flow of Folgers black coffee .... as has become the norm, not much on tap for today .... its possible that we might decide to haul off a load of trash but that's about it
Re: Our Morning Coffee and Weather
24 heading to the low 30’s later. News is reporting that in Spokane light snow and freezing rain is falling and the roads are slick. Nothing here at home but I have no plans to go out today so while I feel bad for the commuters out there I am happy to be home.
Nothing planned today so I’m thinking I might work on a 38 special load using 357 brass. I have a S&W M/19 that I don’t like running full house 357’s in and using the shorter 38 spec cases leaves the carbon ring in the cylinder. That should keep me occupied for a while. I have a buddy who just bought a Ruger LCP and we’re planning on hitting the indoor range next week for some shooting.

I must say Jake,if I ever decide to relocate, the Houston area would definitely be a consideration.Shakey Jake wrote: ↑Wed Jan 11, 2023 11:23 am69° this morning on the dog walk. It's 73° headed to the low 90's. I cooked bacon, eggs, toast and coffee for breakfast.

That was a typo. It should read low 80's. Right now it's 79°markiver54 wrote: ↑Wed Jan 11, 2023 12:00 pmI must say Jake,if I ever decide to relocate, the Houston area would definitely be a consideration.Shakey Jake wrote: ↑Wed Jan 11, 2023 11:23 am69° this morning on the dog walk. Even better! I figured it was a typo. Back to my birth state might be a good idea to spend the rest of my time.Shakey Jake wrote: ↑Wed Jan 11, 2023 4:24 pmThat was a typo. It should read low 80's. Re: Our Morning Coffee and Weather

Overcast, 21°F, Humidity 93%, Barometer 30.14 in
Mostly cloudy, with a high near 22. Northwest wind around 10 mph.
Yesterday was a wild west show with ice on the roads and crashes all over the place.
Coffee coming up soon.
Not much going on today. I'll probably do some shop work.
The vegetable beef soup I made yesterday came out most excellent. I made about a gallon
and after we had it with crackers for dinner, Carol froze the rest in serving sizes.
