I'm clearing some trees to relocate the travel trailer

18 miles south of Columbia in Calhoun county , we're in the boonies but 20 minutes to shopping it's a good spot....

It was 71° this morning on the dog walk. It's 74° with and 80% chance of rain this afternoon. Just had cereal and coffee this morning for breakfast.

28 heading to 32 and the Eastern horizon is looking somewhat bright so maybe some sun today? Hope so. This weeks forecast has our temps getting back to winter with a low tonight of 15. It’s been a nice week or so of warm above freezing temps. Today there’s not much on tap other than making a run to the dump. My pickup is all loaded from a bunch of junk from Mrs. Hatchdog’s and my basement reorganizing project from the other day. Then refilling the firewood rack on the patio is all. Pretty easy day.

Coffee is good, cookies are too.


I guess I'll putz around in the shop today. It's our youngest daughter's birthday this week and she wants a loom to weave rugs with. She doesn't know it, but I'm building one for her in the shop. Most looms are for a specific size rug but this one will be adjustable for several sizes.

54 on its way to 69 with rain moving in late today .... looks like another one of those fronts coming out of the Gulf and streaming north will drop plenty of rain that will turn to ice as it goes further north .... nothing much on tap for today ..... have to contact our family doctor about the test late yesterday that showed I'm having a bout with Influenza B

23 heading to a high of 29 with a freezing fog out there. Local news says the roads around are slick but my butt is having great traction with my relcliner. Pretty quiet weather for a couple of days and then maybe some snow Wed night into Thursday. Not much accumulation is forecast. Not much on tap for today and since I got up about two hours early it’s going to be a long day.

I’ve been looking at RV lots for sale in Arizona and all things considered they are fairly inexpensive. But, it looks like that either HOA or rental fees are in the several hundred dollars per month (year round). Well strike that idea… I was thinking I would tow our trailer south in October, use it a couple of times in the winter for several weeks and then tow it back home in April for summer use up here. I’m going to take a look at possible rental spots where I could just pay for 5-6 months but I expect the availability might be pretty slim. Probably no problem finding one for the summer. LOL!

Actually we were able to find a lot in Casa Grande, Az quite easily.

I no longer golf but we have friends that stay there and I am told there are gun ranges close by.
I can do that.
We will be there Feb.27th to March 20th.

It was a warm 73° with rain in the area. A cool front is moving through so the temperature has actually gone down to 68 degrees. It shouldn't get too much cooler I don't think. I cooked bacon, eggs, toast and coffee this morning for breakfast.

Good morning, from central W TN, yes I'm back home from the visit with the youngest and the 4 grandchildren's.
Was a nice 2 weeks, but had to come back to reality.
Woke up to some pretty nasty storming this AM, still raining and probably most of the day.
Some possible flooding in the lower lying areas. It's warm though 60 with a high in the upper 60's.

Coffee is fine... rest of week supposed to more seasonable but no wicked cold... i can deal with 40s and50s during the day time and 20s and 30s at night .... thats not brutal.... so all floats on in good shape.

It was 51° this morning on the dog walk. It hasn't warmed up that much as it's only 54° at this posting. I just cooked some Malt-O-Meal this morning. I haven't had that for a long time. I added a couple of slices of toast with jam along with the coffee. I have a bit of work to do today but nothing pressing.

Thanks Coop, I took a look at Palmcreek and some more in the area. I found one that I really like with large sites and it’s not too big with 60 some sites. They aren’t taking reservations for 2023-24 yet but I may give them a call and have a conversation.

23 heading to 29 which makes that snowbird idea even more desirable. Looks like a broken sky and we had a beautiful sunrise this morning. That sun sure is way down south, makes for a very different view. Tomorrow brings another storm but nothing too bad with warming temps up to maybe 40 for the weekend. Running into Spokane today to hit Home Depot and pick up some RX’s for me and my wife. We’ll take the dog and give him a romp thru Home Depot who are very dog friendly. Poor pup is as winter-bound as we are. This morning he sat out in the backyard on the frozen snow and just looked off into the woods. He’s thinking, “come on dad, let’s go for a hike”. Unfortunately the snow’s still too deep for him. I can use snowshoes but he would just break thru and struggle to get anywhere.

Another day still in the game doing stuff. Starting with a cup of coffee. More retirement joys of not particularlly haveing to be anywhere till i deciede to get there. After breakfast and good daylight i will make my daily cow move. Roll up a temp electric fence amd let them to their daily allotment of strip grazed pasture. It really does make tge pasture go farther and is saving me gobs of hay so its worth my thirty minutes to move fences. Then i may later in the day run to town and get some grocerys and pick up a cow check from my son and do a little banking. And then my little new rifle is supposed to be delivered to my ffl so i hope to go pick it up..... so all im all.... a promising day.... we will see how it unfolds....best to all you humans out yonder....

58 and clear at 6:30 am will reach near 70 today. Old Gizmo had gas something awful so I had to get up before day break .Now he is going on his morning walk about to inspect the grounds. 4 hard boiled eggs covered in pepper and a banana for breakfast. Coffee is brewing.

Snow, mainly before 9am. Temperature falling to around 22 by 5pm.
Coffee and cookies. I plowed snow most of yesterday. I could not get the tractor
started so I'll put a heater on it and try again today. I need to move some piles so
we have some room in the yard.
