I've been drinking some Evan Williams green label. It's surprisingly smooth for the price. I've got a glass going now watching No Prep Kings.

Cheers Jake. Enjoying a glass of Bourbon while watching MNF.
Yes, Evan Williams is not bad. I'm sipping Rebel Yell.

Last evening we went to our favorite Supper Club for a Wine Tasting Dinner.
Now I'm not a wino, Carol is, but I still had a good time. We met with a couple that we had first met
at October Fest in Sept, and had a nice evening of wine, food, and conversation with them.
A Wine Tasting Dinner means that it's a three course meal with each course featuring a different wine.
The first course was a roasted beet salad with a white wine. It had candied nuts and lettuce mixed in with the beets.
The main course was Braised Short Ribs in a wine sauce with garlic potatoes and candied carrots and a red wine.
Desert was a piece of cake with a cherry cream frosting and another red wine.
It was all excellent in my book. The Short Ribs were fall off the bone tender.
This was the third or forth one of these we have attended and they're always good.

Sipping on my Dewars.
Jake
I started enjoying White Label (up ... or 1 ice cube) back in the 1970's, and helped keeping the tankers filled with it coming over until about 1990 when I met my wife. Yeah, I used to enjoy it a LOT. And single malts ... but mostly Dewars. After I stopped that, I moved on to decent beers (Bass Ale) and red wines, but about 8 years ago I gave that all up too.

Now I keep a bottle of Raymond's Reserve moonshine in the closet. I take it out every once in a while and share just a little with a friend. Just a little.

They make it in the county just east of where I live, I buy it out of the Stock Car Museum in Dalton. That way I know it's fresh. ;)

Can you read what's on the tailgate of my deuce and a half? Yeah, I helped keeping them afloat too.
