Morning. Not too cold but real windy they say. 30 to 40 miles an hour... then when front gets through a couple of raw colder days, then moderating. Nice to ease into winter a day or two at a time.... coffee good.... push on to your day folks. Enjoy

49 degrees this morning heading towards 70 today. Nice day ahead of a storm system moving thru tonight.

Well, here's the deal, I usually plow snow for the neighborhood but I'm still testing positive for
Covid although I feel a lot better. So do I go out and plow? I'm thinking about it.

Speaking for myself, If I felt up to it, I would go for it despite the test. I don't think it would be putting anybody, or yourself at risk.
Don't know about Covid, but, the cold doesn't cause a cold.

Official temp in Deer Park is 8 but my thermometer is showing 15 thankfully. Big storm coming in tonight with predictions of snow in the 10 - 18 inches range. Usually these type of predictions end up being on the high side so I expect here at my place to see 6-8” which is just fine with me.

Today I will be going next door to help my neighbor install a Ring door bell and do some clean up around my place getting ready for the storm. Got about an inch of unexpected snow last night so will shovel that off the concrete areas. I’m going to put the rear blade on the tractor just in case the snow armageddon prediction comes true.

We're on the temperature roller coaster this week. This morning it was 71° headed in to the 80's today. Tomorrow morning the low will be back in the upper 40's or lower 50's with the high in the 60's. Gotta love it!
I cooked French toast, bacon and coffee this morning for breakfast.

the front that churned up tornadoes yesterday in states south west of us is moving through our area right now .... as forecasted, for us, the wind hasn't been a factor .... rather it has been pretty much a rain event .... wife and daughter going Christmas shopping, I'll be home and might order something on Amazon

62 this morning. Storm system moved thru last night with some strong winds. Got to check things out. One thing I already see is the dog pen is history. Tree has fell across it.

Well, we got about 8 inches of snow but I didn't have to plow. I have a good neighbor who
showed up and plowed for me. He's a really good friend.
I'm feeling better every day now. If only the cough would go away.

It’s starting to look like Christmas out there. Our “big” storm has arrived but was three hours late starting around 1:30 am according to my wife who was up for a bit. Now at 7:30 there’s about five inches out there. It’s supposed to snow all day with a break in the late afternoon and picking up again tonight. 22 degrees so it is a nice snow to move. High is supposed to be 30 and the weather service is still calling for 10+ inches for me to process.

Probably stay indoors today and maybe do some Christmas decorating. Not my strong suit but I’ll be a supporting husband as much as I can tolerate. Sure would rather be outside shoveling snow.

We had 6” more snow last night. I was mid way through modifying my truck plow yesterday and had to take the young dog to town for her vet appointment. Going to have to fire up the Miller and finish so I can get things dug out, and then head up the hill for the last day of whitetail season. I’ve seen some big deer this year, but none that I could get a shot on. Too close to houses or after dark. It’s been very frustrating here this year. Sounds like the same story for most of my region. Lots of people striking out.

How’d you do Hatch? It looked like you had more snow than us when we were in Spokane on Saturday.

Right here at my place (and the entire Deer Park area) we get more snow than Spokane does. Befor this storm I had probably 10 - 12 inches on the ground. The other day I got 4” and my buddy in the Spokane Valley received only an inch that melted quickly. Sounds like you’re getting your share, this storm we currently having showed less accumulation up your way but we know how quickly that can change.

Got the blade on the tractor so if this stuff gets too deep I’m ready. Mostly I plow with my side x side and it should move this lightweight snow just fine. Some years of continuous accumulation my berms make my driveway too narrow so it’s nice to have the power and weight of the tractor to roll the berms back.

Hope you got your plow fixed and are kicking this snow’s butt.

It was 51° with gusty winds this morning on the dog walk. It's not quite 60° now. I went to the bank and barber shop this morning after breakfast. I just had hot cereal (Malt-O-Meal), toast and coffee.

Got a lot done yesterday. Got two crazy cows caught and penned. Got 5 crazy calves caught and hauled over to other farm where the big group of weaned calves is penned. Did some errands in town. Got back in evening to my place and met my son when he git off work and we got one small calf casterated that i had kept up in a pen from the morning. The two crazy cows were really pissed by this time. One made a serious effert to get me but she couldnt do anything to the heavy metal pipe corral, (i expect her head will be sore this morning from the way she was hitting the pipe.) The other cow made two circles in the pen to get up a good head of steam and made a truely impressive effert at jumping over the corral. Its maybe six and a half feet high. She came surprising close but couldnt manage it, and fell side ways in something of a belly flop landing on her side which took a tiny bit of steam out of her sails. So i figure she may be a bit sore this morning too. Im feeding them hay in there. They got water from a freeze proof tank in that pen so they are not leaving till they go to the salebarn on the tenth. I got No use for a crazy fool, be it a woman or a cow.
