Rainy morning but a day of rest anyway so im suppin coffee and being glad for more precep (and in liquid form rather than ice or snow is keen in my book!) Guess will reseach where to get some wadding, or how to make some for my new 44 cal 1851 reproduction navy colt....i got round balls and powder..... im talking it along on this years muzzleloader hunt. (Actually using the trusty ol 50 cal hawkin style gun i allways use....but who knows if i run into bigfoot or a desperodo or like that guy i saw on yuoutube who said " if ya run into something big and hairy that needs shootin" ..... he he he....

Good morning and good luck with the '51 Ozark. Funny it's 51° down here this AM, but feels like 46 with this 17 mph breeze.

The grandson spent the night last night and we'll be out in the woods after he gets up.
He's 7, and LOVES being in the woods.

we are back home from the Western NC Mountains ... heavy rain overnight that is supposed to ease off later today .... 62 on its way to 72 that is supposed to drop back to 47 tonight .... Thanksgiving is gone, getting ready for Christmas is up next

34 and the skies are starting to open up letting the sunshine in. With the sun we could see a high near 40. But it’s very windy so the felt temp will be less. We’re looking at the possibility of a pretty good winter storm mid-week with snow forecast in the 6-12” range depending on elevation. Then a big chill back to the single digits. I thing ole’ man winter has taken up permanent residence. What happened to fall?

Busy day today, after some morning errands including taking the dog for a hike I will be hitting the recliner. First up is the Seahawks game leading right into the Gonzaga basketball game. Only to be followed by the new episode of Yellowstone. Rough day ahead.

It was 51° this morning on the dog walk. Currently its approaching mid 70's. The wife is still sick so I'm taking up some of the slack. I always cook the breakfast but have been doing other chores such as laundry, sweeping floors etc. I cooked bacon, eggs, toast and coffee this morning.

Another day ahead... another adventure...or well, something like that... not needing any hair raising adventures...nope, nope, nope .... just the nice comfortable type.... picking the correct subset of anything... be it a gun, or an adventure, is critical to obtaining real satisfaction ..... the older you get the more carefully you pick your path.....the careless have already been weeded out by their choices.... the old bucks are the cautious bucks....thats why they still wander the woods.... nuff of that stuff.... coffee up time.... enjoy a good day doing as you dare....

I'm starting to feel human again. This Covid is rough but I think I'm going to survive.

18 heading to 26 with a light snow falling. Maybe 2” today but we have a bigger storm forecast to arrive Tuesday night into Thursday morning with 6+ inches possible. Might see single digit lows for a few days so if that storm happens it will fall on very cold surfaces and stick hard.

Not much on tap for today other than maybe some light shoveling later and taking the dog for a hike. A few days ago I posted this pic of a broken tree with the snow bending the branches down looking like arms. Now without the snow it just looks like a broken tree hardly seen.

after a few days of restaurant breakfast over Thanksgiving, it was really nice to home cooking this morning .... its already up to 64 and is only supposed to reach 65 later today ..... we've just returned from a medical appointment where I received a regular cortisone injection in my right knee .... while its not my favorite way of starting a day, the results have proven to be well worth it .... Maureen has switched into Christmas decoration mode, so I need to get out of here for a while
