Bummer! I got sick yesterday and was found positive for Covid last night.
So far it seems just like a head cold, but I was tested twice just to be sure.
So Carol called everyone and told them Thanksgiving is canceled at our house. Damn!
So we have this twenty pound turkey which she'll have to refreeze and lots of
other stuff she's already made. I offered to just stay down here in my man cave, but
she said that wouldn't work. Damn! We were so looking foreword to seeing the family.

26 this morning with a light overcast. We should see the low 30’s later and it sure is pretty out there with the snow that came down night before last.

Took my dog for a hike yesterday. I took this picture of a broken tree at the back of my place. Kinda looks like one of the evil trees from The Wizard of Oz.

OK, this Covid stuff is pretty bad but I think I'm feeling better. My chest muscles are very sore from coughing though.
I sat in my recliner and watched foot ball yesterday. I don't usually do that. I really missed seeing the family.
Carol cut some breast meat of the 20 pound turkey and then refroze it for another time, then she mad a mini
Thanksgiving feast just for us last night. Bummer, I have no appetite.

I don't know where I got this but avoid it if you can.

28 heading to the low 30’s with an overcast sky. Kinda dreary out there after yesterday’s sunshine. Maybe some rain/snow later today with a possible 1-3” Saturday night into Sunday. Just in time for folk’s return trips for the holidays. The mountain passes are supposed to get hit hard with accumulated snow. Happy I’m not going anywhere.

Had a nice Thanksgiving with good company, food and my first taste of Makers Mark. Good stuff all.

Wet 61° out this morning. Already had to deal with a pushy client. I can't stand people who want to haggle repair prices. "It is what it is and there's the door if you don't like it." is my usual response.
Part 1:
Several years ago, I had someone come over with a clarinet that needed an overhaul. He had his daughter with him, and I think he wanted to impress her with his ability to bargain. I told him my price, with tax. (Some services are taxable in our state and mine happens to be one.) He wanted me to forgo the tax. I didn't budge and after some more wrangling on his part I told him to leave that I didn't want his business.
Part 2:
There was a "Mom and Pop" music store not too far from me that mainly sold pianos but did take in repairs and phoned me that they had something they needed me to do. I went down on my free time and saw it was the same clarinet that was brought to me (Part 1). I told them it needed and overhaul and the price. The man was phoned, and he decided to try somewhere else.
Part 3.
A few weeks later I got a phone call from the "Mom and Pop" store again. The same clarinet had resurfaced, and they needed an estimate. I observed that they either had someone try to overhaul it that didn't know what they were doing or tried to do it themselves with a kit off the internet. My estimate was for a complete overhaul because it was so poorly done. Bingo.....I got the clarinet and overhauled it. Now, if the man wasn't such an "A-hole" he would have saved money and time instead of trying to get it cheap.

I cooked bacon, eggs, toast and coffee this morning.

Got the main herd of cows worked yesterday and all went really smoothly. So hot dog for having that chore over until late spring. Got a couple of crazy cows to get caught and sold at another place but that will happen soon, im baiting that bunch into the corral there with range cubes every day and they are coming in, as soon as they drop their guard a tiny tiny bit more i will nab the old devils and they will have an all expenses trip to the local salebarn. They both raise good calves, but im getting to old to be playing the part of a rodeo clown everytime i have to mess with that bunch. Coffee be good this morning. Artifical hip a teeny teeny bit sore from hunkering down more than i usually do.( when i was casterating the bull calves) so all in all a great start to a saturday morning. I hope everyone else has an excellent saturday.

I did hear a couple shots just before 7 that had me regretting that decision.

A sunny day today with temps around 60+. Might go down to my place this afternoon. Hope you recover quickly from that covid crap Coop!
My son's family seem to catch it frequently....kids.... but we were able to get in a very nice Thanksgiving for once! Last year Christmas had to be postponed till New Years.

30 out there with a high probably in the mid 30’s. Had a little bit of snow fall last night, maybe .5 inch. Just enough to have to shovel off the concrete areas.

Today’s plans are to enjoy some college sports on TV. Last night the Gonzaga men’s basketball team played Purdue but it was a late game so I recorded it to watch here in a few minutes. They will have another game today as they are competing in a tournament this weekend. Can’t look up the game time since I don’t want to see the results of last night’s game. Then later tonight the WSU Cougars take on the Washington Huskies in the annual Apple Cup. Cougs won in Seattle last year so the Huskies will be looking for revenge here in Pullman tonight. Hope it’s a competitive game. Could be a snow storm to greet the Huskies in Pullman, he he he he.

It was 61° with thunderstorms early in the morning. Right now it's 57° so the wind must have shifted to come out of the north. The high today is going to be in the mid 60's and clear.
I cooked bacon and pancakes this morning along with my coffee.
