Our Morning Coffee and Weather
Re: Our Morning Coffee and Weather
9 degrees on my thermometer here at home with 2 degrees being the official Deer Park temp. Brrrrrrr either way. Sunny day on tap but I plan to spend the morning inside cleaning the rifles I shot the other day. Then the WSU cougars on the TV at 11:00 and after that it should be nice enough outside to take the dog for a hike. Big warm-up coming next week with highs in the 40’s and overnight lows in the upper 20’s.
This is this mornings weather report showing the differences in temps in the area. Deer Park is a micro climate and we are almost always colder than the surrounding area and we also receive more snow. Spokane is 15 miles south, Pullman (home of the WSU Cougars mentioned above) is about 80 miles south of Spokane and Coeur d’alene is 30 miles east of Spokane just across the border into Idaho.

Re: Our Morning Coffee and Weather
Partly Cloudy 14°F Mostly cloudy through mid morning, then gradual clearing,
with a high near 30. South southwest wind 5 to 10 mph.
Humidity 79%
Wind Speed S 3 mph
Barometer 30.13 in
Coffee, cookies.
We're back home! Home has never felt so good.!
The funeral was proper and it was really cold at the grave yard. It was a proper send
off for my cousin's 43 year old son. First he lost his wife to cancer, then his son.
Sad.

Re: Our Morning Coffee and Weather
19º and overcast with chance of more snowbands off Lake Michigan. We have been getting snow since Wednesday morning but the ground is still not frozen so it has been a heavy sticky mess. Hard to blow snow when it is packing up in front of the blower and sliding down the drive instead of into the blades. Last night it was a whiteout at driving into town for supper but drove out of it in a couple miles. Now the temperature is supposed to start going up into the 30s and 40s with rain predicted for Thanksgiving so the snow show disappear for a while.
I have been buying a variety of hardware a little but at a time for a year or so at Rural King since I get it by the pound instead of insane prices in blister packs. These bags have been piling up on a workbench. Yesterday I made myself start sorting it out in plastic trays placed in a heavy drawer cabinet. Hexhead, lag, and carriage bolts sorted by diameter then length with nuts and washers. Today I will get into wood and metal screws then machine bolts I have accumulated. Hate having to stop a project and run to town to by a bolt or two. It is boring but sure makes it easier to find what I need. I guess I thought I needed a lot of 5/16" washers as I seemed to have accumulated hundreds.

Re: Our Morning Coffee and Weather
Beautiful sunrise Gene.
16F here with a lot of wind. Single digit wind chill. I lasted 1 hour and 45 minutes in the stand this morning. Compared to the hundreds of shots in the first few hours yesterday, I heard about 6 in the valley this morning. I think the deer were sleeping in today.
Coffee in the Smith and Wesson mug. Bacon and eggs coming up.
Great set up Vaquero!
I'll likely hunt later.
I hope your day is great.

Re: Our Morning Coffee and Weather
43 now, only going to get up to 48 .... cloudy with no chance of rain .... its supposed to drop to 23 overnight .... back to Best Buy with my laptop this morning .... not much else on the schedule for today
Re: Our Morning Coffee and Weather
Nice looking setup Ernie, I too buy fasteners buy the pound at our feed store. Nice to have an assortment on hand.
Beautiful sunrise Gene, love your pictures. Not so much your temperature.
Here it’s 9 degrees but the suns coming up to help the temp outside. Should be in the lower 30’s later. Once it warms up I plan to head outside and do some odds and ends of clean up as we have some warmer temps coming bring first snow then rain. It will become a sloppy mess out there. Planning on putting a stew in the crock pot to simmer all day and eat while watching the #2 Gonzaga Bulldogs (sadly very overrated) battle the #4 Kentucky Wildcats. Gonzaga got their butts handed to them by the #11 Texas Longhorns a few days ago. Not going to be a great year for my Zags…. Oh well, at least the stew will be tasty.

Re: Our Morning Coffee and Weather
28 degrees this morning, heading to the mid 50’s. Not as much wind predicted, so should be a nice day. Had a stray dog come up about a month ago. Mangy and fleas. Layed under my storage shed a couple nights and now got fleas. So I’ll be doing some spraying today.

Re: Our Morning Coffee and Weather
Fair 23°F Sunny, with a high near 29.
West northwest wind 5 to 10 mph becoming light northwest in the afternoon.
Humidity 74%
Wind Speed W 8 mph
Barometer 30.00 in
Coffee, cookies.
Blanketly blank dishwasher isn't working right.
I installed a new electronic water inlet valve but it still isn't cleaning the top dishes.
I've had that thing in and out of the cabinet a half dozen times now with no results.
I've cleaned all the filters at least a couple of times. Still no help.
I would call a service guy, but no one is available prior to Thanksgiving and we have family coming.
I'll try again today to fix it.
