Our Morning Coffee and Weather

32 heading to 40 with a supposedly dry day on tap. As was yesterday while I watched the rain, hail and grauppel come streaming down. Got my gutters cleaned out before it started and then did my oil changes under cover. Didn’t get the lawn mowed (vacuumed really) so today will be raking pine needles and getting to the lawn rain or not. Last day for me.

Tonight brings a forecast of 1-4” of snow that should turn to rain tomorrow. Then Friday night into Saturday is a wind event with gusts to 50. Then the bottom falls out of the thermometer with lows in the lower teens and highs in the 20’s with maybe more snow on Monday. That snow will stay around if it happens.

71° when I woke up. Now it's 76° and is supposed to get up to the mid 80's today. Just had cereal and coffee this morning.

Morning. Friday for the worker ants in the crowd. Just Another beautiful day for us thats made it to the retirement world. Im suppin coffee and plan on being a slacker today. Productivity has its place in life for sure, but not as much in an old fellas day as a young ones. At least thats how im playing it this morning.

Good morning, headed down to the river this morn got a small job.
Should be an early day.
Yesterday evening I rode over to the backside of the farm.
Was just sitting on the 4-wheeler checking out the scenery, and got a quick glimpse of two NICE bucks, but only for a few seconds.
I was watching three does around 250 yds. away.
Took a pic and sent to a group text, and when I looked up the two were nearly all the way across the field.
Running at a good clip, no chance to even pick up the rifle. o_O
Both looked to be bigger than anything I've seen on the game cameras.

Oh well, but now I know there are a couple nice ones to keep an eye out for.

We desperately need rain but I don't think we got any last night. Still too dark to tell.

I'm resting my old body today. Cutting firewood and blowing leaves has left me a bit sore.

55 degrees earlier this morning and heading towards low 80’s. Still dry. Cut grass and weed eated earlier this week. Not planning to do much today.

54F with 62% humidity. It's supposed to go into the mid70's today. Unusual for November here.

Coffee is in the Mary Lou's news mug today.

A warm 71° this morning on the dog walk. They woke me up unusually early today. It was before 6:00 a.m. Anyway it's 76° now and we'll be having thunderstorms rolling in later in the evening. I cooked bacon, pancakes, and coffee for breakfast.

33 and snowing but heading up to maybe 50 later today. Snow has been falling for a few hours and there’s probably a couple of inches so far. Forecast is for 1-5” and then a big melt down. It’s a heavy wet snow and my tree branches are hanging down low. They will be fine but some shrubs I planted for a fence row last year will need to be relieved of the weight.

Sure glad I put a long day in yesterday raking pine needles and doing the last run of the mower on the lawn, mostly vacuuming up needles and leaves. Got the mower hosed off and put away, bye bye..

Tonight comes a big wind storm with gusts to 60 but thankfully my area is a bit lower at 50 mph. If this heave snow stays in the trees with high winds there could be some damage leading to power outages.

Heavy rain with gusts up to near 50.

Big wind lots of rain last night.. a tad cooler today they say but back in 70s next week so great cause that will grow more cow grass.. which is good cause of the hellish summer drought we had... all in all im pleased with this coming week before deer season. Walkinh down a fence line yesterday i jumped up an eitht point buck bedded with a doe. Ge bounded off about 60 yards and stopped xause he so did not want to leave her. I stopped and froze. She stood up when he first ran but she didnt see me at first even though it was wide open field in every direction. The wind was blowing strong from their direction to me so she couldnt wind me. Intrestingly enough she never did actually see me, or at least reconize i was the bugger that had him spooked. Though i wasnt 30 yards from her. She kept looki g at him and could tell he saw something and was spooked. She kept looking easterly and tryi g to sme what the danger was. She eventualyy walked a few yards toward the buck who was quite nice looking with his big rutty neck. Gosh he want to run off but iy was like he had a rope tied between him in the doe. She finally decieded she would trot down to a cedar windbreak south of them and was he ever glad to get her moving. I guess deer are great at seeing movement but not always so good at reconizing shapes....

41F and rain currently. Next week we are going from a high of 61 to a low of 16 two days later.

Morning stayed down in Saltillo last night, it's 62° and raining good here.
Woodswalker your right they look for movement, I've had them stare at me from 20-25 yds. They'll stomp their feet and try to see if I would move, the wind was your friend.

Deer season opens here today but I'm getting too old for that.
I like to hunt in the local Walmart frozen goods section.
Of course they frown on the shot gun in the turkey section. Spoil sports.
The drought continues. The rain went around us once again.

Let me reiterate that a dash of heavy whipping cream in your morning coffee makes it a special treat.
I have it sitting in front of me now with two Orios for dunking.

40 but probably not getting much warmer than that today. We got 4” of snow yesterday but as forecast it turned to rain. As much rain as we received had it stayed snow we would probably have at least a foot. Then overnight it really warmed up. I got up once because I thought it was raining but it was just the snow on the roof melting and running into the gutters. I looked at the thermometer and it was 46.

I plowed my elderly neighbor’s place but didn’t even shovel off my own sidewalk to the house. Now it’s all melted. He he he…

But, the National Weather Service sent out a storm warming for 6-12” of snow Sunday morning thur Monday morning. We’ll see about that, seems like these big warnings usually peter out.
