33 (as seen) heading to 67 with our last sunny day for a while. This thermometer is a La Crosse that I’ve had for a few years. At first it had a hard time connecting with my wifi but for a while now it is doing great. I like that it shows history of temps but it only goes back several hours but that’s fine. The rain/snow predictions are just the forecast from the National Weather Service.

A neighbor is having a Chili cook-off this weekend and my wife wants to make a test batch so today we’re heading to the grocery store for ingredients. Me, I don’t care for chili so I won’t be joining in on the tasting. I’m going to wimp out and bring some bratwurst with the excuse of folks can use them to make chili dogs.

I just have two small Accurite brand. They show inside/outside temps plus humidity. I keep one out on my porch and one in my shop which has heat and A/C. it's nice to monitor the temp in the shop from in the house.

I bought this weather station and set it up yesterday. It doesn’t give me wind or rain but it does everything else. I want to buy two more remotes so I know the temperature in the garage and maybe the motor home.

My indoor temperature is set at 66F. The sun warms it up above that. Yesterday it was 75F inside. Of course it’s hung outside the furnace room wall. The room is only about ten square feet and the water heater and furnace are in the room. It’s common to find it 80F inside the furnace room.

The Black Rifle Coffee is 140F.

My weather station also shows wind speed and rainfall. I also have this one, only shows temp and humidity but has 3 remote sensors.

It was 43° this morning while walking the dogs. They got playful with the cooler air. Right now at 8:30 it's still only 46°. We're supposed to get up to 68 degrees or so. I cooked bacon, eggs, toast and coffee.

Jake, do you get much “winter in Sugarland”? I know some areas of Texas see a bit of snow, and some are blistering hot and others uncomfortably humid in summer. Is there a climatic “sweet spot” that you know of? I would guess closer to the Gulf but at a bit higher elevation if such an area exists. I’ve only ever been to DFW, but would love to explore more of Texas. I have a fishing guide friend in Corpus I’d like to visit.

Well, where I am we say there are four seasons: Almost summer, summer, still summer, and Christmas.

It rarely gets below freezing here but we did have the winter storm Uri two years ago that caused a lot of problems. We got down to 8° on the coldest morning. There was a lot of damage because our electric grid failed, and water pipes burst causing house damage.

Going from 77-81' into the 50's. We had a brief spit of rain part of a day in Sept, nothing else since mid-June. Very rare.

I like yours. Just wish it ran on 110v too.

Both the sensors and the display have very good battery life. I've had it for several years and have only replaced the batteries once. They both take AAA's so cheap to replace.

I mostly got it to keep an eye on my friend's 5th wheel's black water tank. I skirted around it with 2 inch foam panels and have a small space heater under it but don't want to take chance of it freezing.

The gray water tanks valves are left open as they (and the black water tank) are connected to my septic tank.

I have an indoor/outdoor one with one outdoor sensor that is battery only operated that I use in the Motor home the same way. It works great when I’m on the road. I want another one inside the house where I can read the upstairs/garage/outside and maybe the motor home inside.

38 degrees this morning with a high in mid 70’s. Mid 70’s predicted for the weekend also. Today is demo day. Start tearing down side deck. 12’x24’. Just me and wife, so will be slow going. Hope everybody has a great weekend.
