Our Morning Coffee and Weather

Getting my last cup of coffee of the day, no caffine for 24 hours before a chemical stress test tommorow. That will pretty well bog up all of tommorow, then have one other test of some sort checking out the ticker, ( heart attack about 6 years ago, new heart doctor who wants to look under the hood and kick the tires of his new patient... of course, getting next "needed test" and getting to see the doctor cannt occur until 8th of november becausecof their tight schedule, so guess i will wait a month to find out if i got another 200,000 miles in me, or, if im scrap yard bound. Oh well, no worries, i will putter on like im fine till im not....
One good thing about the test tommorow, they inject the junk into me, take some pictures or something, and then you are supposed to go eat, and muck about an hour or so, and come back so they can take some more pictures, the good part is they told me it would actually be better to eat something greasy. Ha ha! So i'm going to my sisters for bacon, and biscuits and gravy... (modern medicine is not totally evil...)
Right now im trying to make the coffee last.......

another beautiful morning in central NC .... 49 on its way to 69 with virtually no chance of rain .... first up this morning, drive to Raleigh for a medical appointment .... one of our grandsons has a day off from school so he will be with us .... in short, it won't be a very productive day but it will be fun

45 earlier this morning with high around 80 again. Been 3 weeks since any rain but slight chance in forecast later in week. Lazy this morning after bush hogging yesterday, but need to get out and finish this morning.

Currently it's 75° headed towards 88° for a high today. We're back in a drought as we haven't had rain in about three weeks. We caught up for a bit but it's really dry again. I just had cereal, toast and coffee this morning.

Shop work today and a Doctors appointment this afternoon.
A cousin called from the St. Louis area last night and we talked and laughed for
over two hours. It's nice to share family history.

That's the difference in where you live. I'm getting ready to winterize our MH, then put it in the shed
until February. Then we will journey to Arizona. Meanwhile I've got the snow plow out and fueled up.
I expect snow within a month now.

46 heading to a possible 80 degree day. Only 16 degrees above average. Nice thru the weekend then next week will bring highs in the 60’s which is more normal.

We’re leaving this morning for several days of fishing and grouse hunting combined with some lawn chair surfing. Taking advantage of this beautiful October weather for one last outing. Then next week I’ll be winterizing all the toys and putting them to bed.

Our temps are about the same here, not quite as cool nights. How's the smoke over your way, it's gotten quite a bit worse here the last few days.

Sorry for the late response Dave, been off the cellular grid for the last week. Smoke here has been almost nonexistent until yesterday’s wind brought it in from the Cascade fires.

Heard on the news that Washington State’s fire total for the season to date is 141,000 acres. Compared to the record year of 2015 with over a million acres burned that’s not too bad. We have had very little smoke overall this year.

After several mornings in the 30’s up at camp today’s low here at home was 51. There is about a 700 foot difference in elevation between home and camp. High today is 70 with a nice week of 70’s ahead. Due to road construction I couldn’t get the trailer into the place I wanted to use to dump the tanks so this morning I’ll head back up to Deer Park and do that. Then I will probably winterize it but man, it’s hard to think about that when it’s still in the 70’s. But I know better, next week we could get a freeze.

we don't usually have to winterize our camper .... its not rare for us to be able to camp some days every month of the year .... when we have a spell of low temps that could freeze the water in our camper we leave its furnace on the lowest temp setting

Once again, I'm posting midafternoon. It was 63° this morning walking the dogs. Currently it's 85° and the ragweed pollen is taking its toll on my eyes and nose. I cooked bacon, eggs, toast and coffee. I haven't done much except pay bills. I'm going to get some practice in after posting.

It's not going to get much warmer today. 80 yesterday and 50s today.
No coffee or cookies. I have to have blood drawn so I'm fasting. Then I go right to
a Dermatologist to have some more skin cancer removed.
I had a complete physical yesterday including a prostate check. The Doctor, (who is a good friend),
said to tell Carol that I'd been checked from "top to bottom" with a laugh. All was good.
I feel blessed that 82 I am still doing well. I have lost so many friends and relatives that were younger than I.

49 now, supposed to hit 75 later today with thunderstorms moving in after midnight .... today is our 48th anniversary .... no fun plans but that could change in a flicker .... only thing on our schedule is taking Maureen to Raleigh for a medical appointment after lunch

After a prediction of a low of 29 and frost it’s a balmy 39 out there. For that I’m grateful. Official Deer Park low was 36 but that’s at the small airport and it’s always a colder reading than my home thermometer. Should be a nice 70 degree day. Playing golf today teeing off at 11:30 so we will get to enjoy the best part of the day. Just might be warm enough for a beer.

80° and headed to 95° today. There's a 40% chance of rain and I sure hope we get it! It's dry out there. I just had cereal, strawberries, toast and coffee this morning. I've got a little work to do but not anything stressful.

61 degrees this morning. Got 1” rain from yesterday until this morning, most of it early this morning. Will see if that was enough to settle the dust so I can till the garden.

well, this time the long range forecast was right ...EEK! .. for over a week they have been calling for rain to move in after midnight last night and it sure did .... our back yard rain gauge (AKA - low area) was completely dry when we went to bed .... heck of a morning for the opening of the NC State Fair .... last night's rain amounted to be markedly higher than the amount we had during all of Hurricane Ian .... thankfully no wind has come with it .... already 64 on its way to 75 .... with us due to pull out tomorrow for a weekend camping trip with our club, we need to do some mostly grocery shopping this afternoon

I'm back to my normal routine and it feels good after two weeks of medical appointments.
I was at the gun club yesterday afternoon and then the group of couples went for beer and wings.
Carol loves that.
Watched baseball last evening.
