58º now, 85º this afternoon and sunny. Tried mowing yesterday but the only way to see where I had been was the broken brown grass from the tractor so I gave it up. Got some chainsaw chains and mower blades done that were left in my drop box yesterday and seem to have some time to putter. Little garden harvesting and clean up downed limbs perhaps. Enjoy the day.

Got 1/4” rain last night. Forecast higher chance of rain this afternoon thru tonight. Fortunately we sitting here drinking our coffee and tea. Wife fell last night and pretty much landed on her head. Took her to ER. X-rays didn’t show anything. Looks like a couple good goose eggs and a split lip is it. I’ll be staying in house mostly today with her.

9AM and its already been a busy morning ....63 on its way to 84 with much lower humidity .... first up taking our pickup to a local independent garage to have the outside driver's side door handle replaced .... stopped by post office to mail several envelopes (mostly bills) .... next up back to town in about 30 minutes to get our flue shot and latest Covid booster .... then a 20 mile round trip to the closest UPS store to return an item to Amazon .... haven't received any marching orders after that .

Coffee and cookies.
It was almost 90 degrees yesterday and today may not even hit 70. It's raining north of us but
none here yet. I was down to the dock a couple of days ago and I now have 10 foot of beach. Usually
I have none. We really need rain.
Not much going on today. I'll probably clean the shop.
Hey Graywolf, take good care of the wife. Head bumps can be serious.

Re: Our Morning Coffee and Weather
I'm getting a late start this morning. Currently it's 80° with 76% humidity. It's a bit cooler this week than it has been. No rain for today so things will start to dry out quickly. I cooked sausage, eggs, and coffee along with a slice of banana bread the wife baked the other day.

Coffee, cookies.
Just a trace of rain overnight. We need rain!
The fresh seafood truck will be in town this morning and I'm going for shrimp and crab.
They bring it fresh from the Gulf all summer.
I got the gas tank all power washed yesterday and I will paint it this afternoon.

Re: Our Morning Coffee and Weather
Missed my morning report. Right now it's 88°. Taking it easy today. I'll do a little playing of my guitars this afternoon. I just got in a Supro DualTone amp purchased used as they are no longer manufactured. Jimmy Page was said to have recorded the first Led Zepplin album using one. This one is in very good condition for its age. I'll also post a link to one of my client's Facebook videos. I've rebuilt a lot of old Selmer Clarinets for him in the past. He's a retired army clarinetist. He just got this one back yesterday. https://www.facebook.com/tom.puwalski/p ... &ref=notif

Re: Our Morning Coffee and Weather
With all the talk of rolling brownouts and blackouts during the recent heat wave their mandate stating no new gasoline cars after 2035 doesn't seem too practical. Now I see that other states are thinking of also adopting the mandate.

Re: Our Morning Coffee and Weather
once the rain sat in late yesterday morning it hung around all day .... some significant flooding but, thankfully, none close to our area .... that's a major difference for an area that is in an extended drought .... today is supposed to be a carbon copy and so far we have everything but the rain .... currently 74 muggy degrees on its way to 82 with a Real Feel of 91 degrees ... the only thing I have on tap is to clean our Davy Crockett smoker/grill and touch up the mods made to the Pizza Oven Dome

46 this morning with either a very heavy smoke layer or clouds as the sun is not even peeping thru. Just got back from a week at the lake so not really tuned into the forecast. Had some cold mornings with 41 behing the low. But the days warmed up nicely and was pleasant out on the lake once the sun rose above the mountains..Even the dog had shades on.
