Woke up to a brisk 47 this morning and man it felt great. Had to put a sweatshirt on to go outside. High is supposed to be in the upper 70’s but hot returns mid-week with a forecast of 98. Ugh. It’s 7:00 am and still nice and cool out so we decided to take the dog to some trails for a hike. Heading out here in a few. Later I’m taking my wood splitter to my son’s place as he got his stove installed and needs to get his wood split. I’m done for the season and he’s only just starting…hee hee hee hee.

its already up to 82 on its way to 89 with 92% humidity and 1% chance of rain .... in short, its going to be pretty much another stay in the house day .... we've received notice that a 31 year old friend in South Dakota was in a bad motorcycle wreck yesterday afternoon .... he was flown to a hospital in Sioux Falls where we understand he is in very serious condition, in surgery as this is being typed .... two weeks ago today he and I sat together at a restaurant ....

88° and on the way to the mid 90's. There's a slight chance of showers this afternoon but more of a chance tomorrow. I cooked ham, eggs, toast and coffee for breakfast.

I’m experiencing a bad thunderstorm. I’ve seen dry thunderstorms and even wet ones but never anything this bad. Living on Timms Hill might have something to do with it.

All calm down here at the moment, but it looks like we have some wet weather moving in round mid day.
It's 73 now, humidity is sitting at 97%, and suppose reach the mid to upper 80's later on.

Keep ya head down Gene.

This morning 73 and cloudy 80% humidity, it's only getting to 84 today with a thunderstorm this afternoon . Back in the 90s tomorrow, making a trash run today. We don't have garbage service but the county has collection sites one being a few miles away, household trash, wood, metal, cardboard and used motor oil. Also appliances and electronics, free to County residents I've come to prefer this arrangement, Each site has an attendant and they're kept very clean. In Washington it was getting near $50 for a dump run.

Welcome to tornado alley Gene. Where there are mountains the bad weather gets broken up some, but here in
the Great Plains there ain't nothing short of a barbed wire fence to slow them down.

49 crisp degrees this morning. Sat out on the patio for a while and my wife said she might have to get her flannel PJ’s out. :( High today is 85 with increases leading to 98 by Wed. That’s a pretty quick warmup as yesterdays high was in the upper 70’s. Hitting the golf course today and this weather should be just about perfect for it. Making a trip to a lake in the NE corner of Washington State next week and it’s going to be on the warm side but not stupid hot like we have experienced this summer.

Awoke to a gentle rain shower. The dogs were unhappy as they had to wait for their walk. It's supposed to rain on and off all day today. I hope it's mostly off so I can get out and get some things done. Currently it's 78° with 91% humidity. I just had cereal, strawberries, and coffee for breakfast.

53 balmy degrees after a few mornings in the 40’s. High today is 93 and tomorrow 101. Crazy. A bit of a cooldown for the holiday weekend but still on the warm side. The tent campers in the mountains will appreciate that. Today is run around day with a stop at Cabelas to both take the dog for an in store walk and pick up a couple of downrigger weight cradles. I expect to be using the downriggers next week to get deep looking for the Kokanee. Still a bit of a puzzle for me to use them, mostly setting the release on the line. Good practice next week.

Right now it's 80° with 93% humidity. We had rain again this morning with more on the way. I'm not going to complain after the long drought we were under. We've gone from Extreme Drought to Moderate Drought in a week's time. I cooked bacon, eggs, toast and coffee for breakfast. I've got to do some grocery shopping for the wife this morning as she's got a problem with her knee.

its already been a busy morning .... first up taking our Sportchassis to a repair shop .... after a quick look the Mechanic I trust to work on our truck believes electric fan clutch is shot .... he also recommends (due to heat and age) that no matter what turns out to be wrong, the plastic fan blades need to be replaced .... sure hope that proves to be the problem .... he needs to get it up on a lift to check out the second issue we want him to fix .... after leaving the garage, we drove directly to Raleigh where Maureen had an appointment with our Cardiologist .... from there to Sam's where we restocked following our recent trip .... we are now back home where its 84 degrees with a "Real Feel" of 96 .... this morning the lady meteorologist on our local TV weather report showed what she called her Muggy Meter .... the needle was pegged ....
