Thanks Mark. It's as I mentioned, Chronic. The VA and several specialists have been unable to correct it so
so I have just learned to live with it. I still feel very lucky to be alive and kicking even though this hits
me from time to time.

We could use rain, but I'm not sure when we will get it.

Nothing much on the agenda as I while away my last vacation day. Back to the part time jobs later this week.

Get to feeling better Coop.

57 this morning with a cooldown today as the high will “only” be 99. Hip hip hooray. But, the real cool down begins tomorrow and by Thursday/Friday we are expected to be below average with highs in the low to mid 80’s. That I can appreciate. We really need some rain around here, while the brush here at my place is still pretty green our humidity levels are running 10 - 15% during the day and that will dry out the brush quickly.

No big plans for today, just putting around until it gets hot and then indoors.

69 this morning. We finally got a shower yesterday afternoon. 1/8”. After breakfast, I’m off to the library to do some genealogy research. The county historian is there a couple hours on tuesdays.

Meds are working already and slept the best in two weeks last night.
Went to the VFW meeting last night. We're getting new younger members every meeting now. There were four last night.
It's nice to see the youngsters stepping up. We old farts are getting tired.
I'm not planning to do too much today due to the heat.

Woke up to 62 which is a little bit warmer than normal. Still feels great and I’m sitting on the patio as I type this. High today is “only” 90…ma get your parka. A big cool down this week to the low 80’s and then hot again next week. Yuk.

Might get started splitting firewood for a couple of hours this morning before it gets hot. Also have a little mowing to do outside the regular lawn area. Watered it well yesterday so it shouldn’t be too dusty.

We’re starting to get a few fires breaking out and with our low humidity that could be a problem. We also have 25-35 mph wind gust forecast for the next couple of days. Had a fire last night in dave77’s general area (not close but that part of the state) but it sounds like it got knocked down quickly and the people who were on mandatory evacuation have been allowed to return home.

Fingers crossed here in our area.

Vantage is not too close, probably around 50 miles away. Don't remember the exact year but we had one fire season maybe around 15 years ago and we were literally surrounded by fires. Could not see across the Columbia river. Maintenance went around and shut down the outside air coming into building's HVAC's, my school had a long hallway you could look down and still see the smoke that was in the building.

I’m in the middle of one of the worst lightning and rain storms I’ve ever seen. It’s dark out yet with all the lightning it’s mostly daylight. The thunder is intense yet almost drowned out by the rain hitting everything.

It's already 88° with 86% humidity at 8 a.m. We got to 100° yesterday in Sugar Land which was a bit higher than the prediction. There's only a slight chance of scattered showers this afternoon. Cooked bacon, eggs, toast and coffee.

Holy cow, that’s some kind of thunderstorm. Mid-west at it’s best I suppose.

For us just another benign August day. Woke up to 57 with a high of 90 forecast. Then tomorrow the big cool down with a high of 80. Next week it’s back to the upper 90’s.

Got started on firewood splitting yesterday. I cut this wood into rounds two years ago and it is nice and dry. Splits very easily, hardly broke a sweat.

Might have something to do with internal combustion and hydraulics.

Finally a good nights sleep. Folgers and cookies.
It's supposed to be a nice day today and I have to take the old Winnie up the road
to get a diesel fuel leak fixed, then start getting ready to leave on Sunday for Duluth
for four days, then one day at home and off to a Blue Grass Festival Thursday through
Sunday.
I seriously do not know when I had time to have a job. I'm retired and busier than ever.

71 this morning. Chance of scatter showers. Finally got some rain yesterday- 1-1/4”. Was able to do some bushhogging and not be in a dust storm. Well, off to town this morning to get pistol permits, eat a late breakfast and pick up a few groceries.
