Morning. Was 73 when I got up a little earlier, 75 now and headed towards 97.
Looks like I'll be riding again today...
But this time the danged mower.
Yep the grass needs a little clippin.
Who knows I might get out foe a little cruz.

53 looking at the upper 80’s later and a big warm up this upcoming week. Heading out here in a bit while it’s still cool to hit the weeds in my gravel driveway with some weed killer. I have a bumper crop growing and I’m way behind taking care of them. Then for the rest of the week I’ll be splitting firewood. Figures I would wait for the hottest week of the year to do this. But I’ll just work for a few hours early and using a hydraulic splitter so I’ll be fine. This wood was cut into rounds two years ago so it should be nicely cured.

Currently 84°at 9 a.m. and headed towards 100° again today. I attached a screen shot of July's high temps as recorded at IAH. Some of our temps here in Sugar Land were higher. Just had cereal, peaches and coffee for breakfast.

Looks like nice cool and dry weather for the next week with a chance of rain on Tuesday. We need the rain!
Electricians are due today to hook up our new Generac. I also have a lot of yard work to get done.
We were gone for almost a week and it got ahead of me.

Little cooler this morning, low of 68. But will be in mid 90’s today with heat index around 105. Got trim work to do with push mower and weed eater.

Dang Jake, that calendar sucks with all those triple digits. Plus I understand your area has high humidity…

53 and sunny here with a high forecast to be 95. We may see some very low triple digits this week ourselves. But with 25% humidity it’s tolerable. Ran out of weed killer yesterday so this morning while it’s still cool I’ll finish up. Funny, I have the chimney sweeps coming this morning to clean my stove pipe plus I plan to do some wood splitting this week. Hottest week of the year so far and I’m working on wood heat. Not the brightest tool or the sharpest bulb in the neighborhood.

Check this out, our pup has discovered where the cool air comes from when the A/C is on.

Yep, another hot one on the way. It's no longer morning as I had some early errands to run. I cooked up some bacon, eggs, toast and coffee. Currently it's 96° at noon and the high today is supposed to get up to 103°around three to four this afternoon. Y'all stay cool if you can!

A lot hotter over here in Eastern Washington, supposed to be 110 on Thursday. Our humidity is a lot lower than yours which helps.

I was wondering about that last year when we had our all Summer long heat wave. 114 degree record and I don't think it got below 100 degree highs all of July and we also had 100 degree days in June. Then we had an abnormally cool Spring and early Summer this year. Too hot last year and too cool this year for the cherry harvest, usually it's rain that ruins the harvest, not temperature.

The heat wave appears to be over for the time being. It's forecast to be in the 70s today.
The electricians are done for now and will come back with the programmers
and finish the Generac install in two weeks.
We have a slight chance of rain today. The drought continues.

84° at 9 this morning. It only got to 99° yesterday not quite making the predicted high. We've got some clouds moving in so the high is only supposed to get to 96° today with scattered showers in the afternoon. I cooked bacon, eggs, toast and coffee this morning. Going to practice a bit this morning, straighten up the shop, and then work on a flute. Seems this has been flute week. My business tends to run that way which is okay by me. I usually, for some strange reason, get in a lot of saxes, clarinets, or flutes.

Hooray!!! It rained at last. I haven't checked the gauge this morning but I'm thinking we got at least and inch.
Now today is forecast to be nice. Clear skies and moderate temps. The drought is broken at last.
I have yard work to do and then it will be beer and wings with friends this afternoon.
I talked to one of my cousins in the St. Louis area last evening and he said it's pretty wet. He had a doctors appointment
yesterday and he had several detours to get there and back, but his house is OK. It looks like they're getting more rain today.

I marvel at the humidity level Coop posts, here we run 20-40% tops this time of the year.

Woke up to 60, the warmest morning so far. All the windows are open and fans on, feels great right now but with the forecast of 99 that great feeling won’t last.

Played golf yesterday teeing off at 9am so it wasn’t too bad. Finished around 12:30 just as it was starting to get hot. Today I’m going to mow the lawn and deliver a couple of hand me down pieces of furniture to my son. Maybe finish my weed spraying. This is all before noon as after that it’s stay indoors.

Sympathies to dave77 who is running 5-10 degrees warmer than my place.
