I'm anxious to try some bacon to see how it tastes, so bacon wrapped hot dogs tonight.

It's 82°with 87% humidity and headed towards 100° again today. We didn't make 100° yesterday but were pretty close to it. Went to the oncologist yesterday and the news was good. The small tumor (5mm) hasn't increased in size over the last few months. I'm scheduled for scans every six months to keep an eye on the bugger. They also took blood to look for markers (CA 19-9). Under 35 is the range and I'm right next to it at 34. All is good so far. I cooked bacon, pancakes and coffee for breakfast.

^^^^^ good news Jake!

Woke up to a nice refreshing 41 with sun streaming thru the trees. Predicted high is 78 today and 86 tomorrow. Summer has arrived right on schedule per the calendar anyway. Outdoor stuff today with some weeding and mowing and whatever else Mrs. hatchdog directs me to do. She’s getting pretty bossy these days.

A cold front came through during the evening and it's refreshingly cool this AM.

Well, belay that. We got half way out of our driveway and there is a very large Oak tree
laying squarely across our path. There is no way to get around it, so, back to the house
and now I'll be cutting it up the rest of the morning.

Not the day I had planned.

Morning, the daughter and most of the family are safely back in SC this AM.
The wife and MIL are with the other 2 boys in middle TN and will be home later.
I'm going to mow before they get home.
May ring some steel after that. ;)

80° this morning. The humidity is at 83% and it's supposed to get up to 100° again today. I thought about going to the range but think I'll just stay in the AC today. I just had cereal and coffee this morning for breakfast.

48 under beautiful sunny skies and heading to 85 later. YIKES… and then tomorrow we may see 90. DOUBLE YIKES

Had to run sprinklers on some lawn not covered by the in ground system for the first time yesterday. Normally I would start doing this in mid May and here it is nearly July and I’m just now having to do it. Been just a bit of a wet spring.

Did my two mile brisk walk and was back home by 6:45. We had 2.5 " of rain last night and are headed for the low nineties today.

Nice cool weather for the coming week, but no rain. We need rain.
I still have more of that downed oak tree to get cut up today and hauled to the wood yard.
At least it's not in the 90s.

82° with 84% humidity this morning at 8:00 a.m. local time. We got to 102° yesterday. There's a slight chance of rain this afternoon and we sure need it. A lot of vegetation dying or dead already. I feel for the farmers in the area. It's not making for good hay, rice, soybeans, or cotton. I sure hope they have crop insurance. I cooked bacon, eggs, toast and coffee this morning for breakfast. I've got a dentist appt for cleaning my teeth today. I'm not sure if I'll work today or not. We're getting the driveway replaced this week and the contractor is supposed to drop by with the papers sometime today.

48 and sunny and heading to 92. Too hot! Cools down this week with the high on Wednesday a mere 74. We were thinking about taking the boat out for a cruise tomorrow but it’s supposed to be very windy so we may wait until Wednesday. 74 is a nice temp for cruising, especially for the pup who we are finding out doesn’t like the heat. Speaking of the pup, he gets his staples out today. Poor guy has been wearing a cone for two weeks and will probably have to continue with it for a while. Hope not but I can’t see how he wouldn’t scratch at the wound and if he did it would probably open up again.
