I'm trying to find out when HRA added metal to the chamber end of their barrels. All you have to do is answer "Bayonne ... plastic" or "Rice Lake ... steel".
The photo below shows the non-metal (plastic) end ... probably from a rifle built in Bayonne.

Both my Bayonne and Rice Lake rifles have the plastic.

I do not, but the SIL bought one back in late summer, but he is in Saudi at the moment.
I will be over to visit in a couple weeks, I'll check his out while there.
Pretty sure he never got around to shooting his before he deployed.
