Woke up to rain and lightning. Rain good, lightning not so good.
Had a brief coffee with my oldest daughter and her husband, then I went to the monthly retirees breakfast.
They left soon after me and will be gone till Tuesday evening visiting other relatives, then they will be here
Wednesday and Thursday before leaving Friday morning to go back to Buffalo, NY and work.
She's still Daddy's little girl even though she is a full fledged shrink. I love her to pieces.

Good morning. 76 earlier this morning heading towards 98 today. Yesterday high was 98 with index at one time 112. Tea time now but got to get out and get some groceries before it really heats up.

43 heading to maybe 50 with a snow warning over 4000 ft. (Not even close to me thankfully) Yesterday Spokane set a new record of the lowest high at 49.

Happy to report that starting tomorrow (the first day of our trip to Banks Lake) the weather is improving to partly sunny and highs in the mid-70. Banks Lake is located in Central Washington State and is always 5-6 degrees warmer than Spokane. Should be great weather for us.

It's already 89° and headed towards 100° again today. There's also a high pollen count along with Saharan dust in the air. It's another good day to stay inside. I'm going to take care of some odds n' ends in the today and try to get some used instruments listed on Reverb. I've also had a Conn alto sax that's been sitting here a long time. I think I'll get it repadded today and put in on the sale list also.

Currently 82 in upstate SC, thunder shower rolled thru a bit ago getting to 99 and muggy today typical in these parts, just gotta go to the food lion for some milk and chicken then swing by O'rileys grab an air filter for the truck. That Arizona desert really dirtied it up

It is currently 98º at 4:30. Had a spectacular lightning display last evening with a strange yellow sky. Supposed to have had 90 mph winds 10-12 miles north of me and rumors of a tornado with a lot of damage. I fortunately had no damage. Another hot one tomorrow.
I decided to cut back to 20 hour work weeks. I was going to retire but with the economy as it is I figured it would be prudent to just cut back for now. I have a young man I will be training starting tomorrow, we will see how that works out.

74° and clear going to 90°. Just started my 1st cup of coffee. Began filling the pool yesterday. 1/2 full so far. It takes 12,000 gallons. Anyway I'll be working around it today and tomorrow. Cheers!

I'd like to be up there with RR for a few minutes! I couldn't take it for long though! Already 82° this morning. I got to go and get my eye injections this morning. Just had cereal and strawberries for breakfast.

Folgers and Rhubarb Tort. See Carol makes all these deserts when family visit and they
never eat it all, so I have to make sure it doesn't go to waste. Also got a chocolate pie to take care of.
Yesterday it was in the 90s, today in the 70s. That's Minnesooota for you.
Our daughter and her husband went down to visit her Mother on Monday and were supposed to return
yesterday, but her Mother's AC went out and they stayed another day to help her get a new one. Even
though I eventually had custody of the children and raised them, I always encouraged them to go visit
their Mother. I'm proud of her but my desire to see my ex roast in hell was thwarted yesterday.
Oh well, our maker will take care of that anyway, not my job.

Holy cow Roper, that’s a nice Christmas picture you shared.

I’ll take Roper’s snow any day over what some of you are posting for highs mixed with the humidity. Don’t know how you folks can put up with it but I’m sure that like most things it’s just a matter of conditioning. Personally I’m conditioned more for snow than heat and humidity.

We finally have a break in the weather, woke up to 44 but there’s this big bright object in the eastern sky that’s making my eyes hurt. Watched the local news to see what it is and I was informed it’s called “the sun”. I kinda remember it. High is supposed to be 68 with 70’s the rest of the week.

I was supposed to be packing up for a camping/fishing trip leaving at noon today. But late Monday our pup suffered an injury to his neck just below his ear. We couldn’t get him to the vet until yesterday and now he’s wearing 17 staples and the cone of shame. No way can we take him camping trying to get around in a small trailer and small boat with that cone on. But the deal breaker is he really can’t be on a leash with the location of the injury and of course in a campground he would live on a leash. So we’ll stay home so he can stumble around the house and have free reign in the backyard without a leash.

How did he get injured you ask? Let’s just say the stupid owner had something to do with it and is too embarrassed to share… but I’m thinking about changing my screen name to “hatchdog scissor-hands”
