Another busy day ahead. Got some painting to get done and yard work.
Our oldest daughter is coming from Buffalo, NY with her husband on Saturday for a week.
I would like to have things caught up for her visit so we can spend time together.
They repaved our service road yesterday and today I need to meet with the county engineer to discuss
widening the shoulders. Busy, busy, busy.

81° with a high predicted of 96° with a "feels like" 106° later this afternoon. I've been having some back pains lately and suspect my gall bladder. I do know I have gall stones, but they haven't been a bother to me until now. I've contacted my surgical oncologist via email and I'll see what he recommends. My guess is they'll take it out. Cooked eggs, bacon, toast and coffee this morning. Nothing to do but work today.

52 heading to 70 something with a light rain which is supposed to end shortly. Playing golf today but not starting until noon and the weather is supposed to be fine. Overcast but warm. Walking a very hilly course so an overcast might be nice. Planning to wear shorts and today will be the first time this year I have done so. June 8th, first day for shorts and only the third round of golf this year. Crazy. Just this week I removed the insulation blanket off the pipe leading to my sprinkler system I had in place for all the overnight freezes we have had this spring. With all the rain the system has hardly been on.

Looks to be a really nice week ahead.
I have lots of painting and yard work to get done as our oldest daughter and her husband
are due on Saturday for a weeks visit. I want to get it done so I can spend time with them.

Our service road is all repaved. They came in about 3:00 Pm, ground out some of it, scraped
and swept the rest, put down the oil and paved it. A half mile road and it was done by 7:30PM
that night. Nice job too. Now next week they'll come back and do the shoulders. I worked with
the County Engineer on it and he was a really nice guy to work with. Happy, happy!

Last night was our wedding anniversary and we went into town to a new restaurant. Supposedly a
combination seafood and steak place. It's been highly touted around here. We were disappointed.
The Oyster Platter was expensive and the oysters were very tiny indeed. We each had a bowl of
Cioppino and that was pretty good, although Carol makes it just as good or better here at home.
We probably won't be going back. The place wasn't very busy at all. Wonder why.

It’s Thursday so that means I meet a few neighbors at the Hill of Beans for breakfast. I mowed yesterday and will need to spend a few minutes cleaning up where my young gardeners pulled weeds. I have them throw them on the lawn and then I go through and pick them up. I can get four hours of weeding done and it only takes me 15 minutes.

I last mowed ten days ago so I’m not spending a lot of time on the lawn.

90 here today. Got alot done yesterday and even made some smoke with the flintlock. I was pretty rusty with it need more time with it to get tuned up. Bike ride today before it gets to warm and then just kick back.

50 heading to 75 ish with sunny skies. Enjoy today as tonight we have the beginning of another 3-4 days of rain and thunderstorms. I feel bad for the working folks who have weekends off. Seems like every weekend is a rainout.

Heading into town today, I’m getting my first of two shingles shot. Had the original shot five years ago but there is a new improved vac available. My wife is currently suffering from internal shingles and I don’t want any part of what she’s going thru. Then we’re attending an estate planning presentation, we need to get stuff in order better than we currently have.

Got my property tax assessment yesterday and the tax man increased the value of my place by 31% Home prices here in Washington have increased at a stupid rate and here comes the tax man to take his piece.

Finished the painting yesterday except for the dock. I might get that tomorrow morning.
We ordered a Generac a year ago and it' supposed to be delivered today. Then we need to
get an electrician to set it up. My mechanic says the motorhome is done and I can pick it
up today. He's had it for a month just working on it when he had time.
Our daughter comes tomorrow with her husband.
It's a busy time of the year.

Partly cloudy today: expected high of 81; currently 57. Busy today, last night went to grandkids softball games and on the way back home we hit a deer so I expect to place a few phone calls. Lot of e-mailing and dealing with adjusters, oh well. Everybody have a great day!

Sunny and 60° breakfast was excellent, and coffee is doing its job. Today we break ground on the 1st part of our above ground pool project. Bobcat time. Can't wait for the whole project to get done. It's going to make these hot days more enjoyable soon. Thoroughly cleaned and lubed my new weapons, the Tavor TS12 ,and my new Radical firearms Ar15. lots of assembly lube that was thick in tbe barrel. Took forever to get a clean patch. It's a cheap AR, but well made. Waiting on red dot optics for both weapons. Cheers!

53 heading to the 70’s with some overnight rain. More rain and possible thunderstorms today. There’s a truck load of gravel waiting for me to put into potholes on the road. Originally the community was supposed to do this work last Saturday but we were rained out. We had planned to continue the project tomorrow but…yep, another rainout. I’ll do what I can with my loader and the group will have to find a day to do the cleanup.

Rain and thunderstorms all weekend but next week it’s supposed to dry out and be warm. We’re leaving Wednesday for five days at a lake near Grand Coulee Dam for some fishing and camping. This will be the pup’s first adventure in the travel trailer.

Eastern Australia is experiencing its earliest and longest cold snap for decades, this weekend is the official start to ski season, often nothing but a bit of man made snow at opening time but most of the resorts have 3 feet already.
It has been snowing on and off above 2000ft for the last few weeks around here, I need to pick up a ram (sheep) I have leased out from 40 miles away today. Should be a interesting trip seeing a bit of it is around 4000ft.
