Nice score Al.
That's a good price, and especially these days.

I was in a hardware store in Rib Lake, WI and they had ammo. They had rimfire, 223 and 9MM. Not a big selection yet they had a lot of it.

Getting more all time on the shelves here, both in variety and quantity. Looks pretty good at the moment, so I've been stocking up. I'd suggest y'all do likewise if you aren't already.

Yeah, that can be a problem for some folks. I usually will plan my trips to combine grocery, gun stuff, etc. to minimize the gas hit. There are 5 gun shops on my normal grocery route. So about a gallon of gas for the entire round trip of a little over 30miles about once week/10days.

The cost of living here in Wisconsin is about a quarter that of Seattle. The difference is mainly in housing. Groceries are less, fuel is far less and health care is slightly more.

Even though a gallon of gas is less my fuel bill is higher because I had a latte stand 2 miles from home and now the closest is 13 miles.

Getting back to ammo I’m finding it more and more and it’s about the same price.

I cleared out most of the shop stock at a shoot over the weekend, 17M2 17HMR & 22WMR all went, a lot of the centrefire stuff sold as well only a few boxes of most centrefire ammo left apart from a case of 300win. 200rds might be enough reason to buy a rifle
Would still be well over 5k of 22lr but not really concerned about it not selling I will use it myself eventually. A bit of shotgun left as well maybe 1.5k but again not worried as there are 410 20 &12ga in the safe so can make use of it.
Harder to find stuff like 2" 410 all sold along with all primers and powder and a fair percentage of projectiles. Wouldnt say we have a projectile shortage in Aus but if you have a load with a specific projectile they can be hard to find so people are stocking up when they see them.

Previously I've posted my legs had 357 magnum for about $34 a box. Well inflation has caught with more of their ammo, they don't gouge. No 357 magnum ammo for three weeks, had 38 special for $38.99. I saw price and didn't even ask if more than 1 was available.

I’m seeing lots and lots of ammo available especially in the popular semi-auto pistol and rifle cartridges. I only but CCI mini-mags and .410 shot shells and of course I rarely see any of either. I have enough on hand that I’m not concerned but do keep my eye open when I’m in a store that sells ammo.

A favorite shop located in Coeur d’alene Idaho which is about 50 miles from my home is having their big grand opening for a new location this weekend. Normally I would have driven over and enjoyed shopping but with gas at $5.50 per gallon and my best mpg rig is 20 I decided to stay home. Sad. :(

I understand perfectly that last paragraph.
The main 2 stores around that sell reloading supplies aren't close either.
One is 35 miles SW of me & the other is 42 miles SE, and they are about 60 miles apart.
We do have an Academy on the north side of town, that's 15 miles one way, but as of the past year has little to no components other than bullets.
I do visit it on an occasion when I'm working out that way.

Got an e-mail from Underwood, they have a 30% sale some select ammo, and no special coupons required.

Got that too. Mostly pistol ammo, it's all hunting/defensive rounds. Some good deals if that's what you're looking for.

I live in southern Maryland and all dealers I visit are grossly overchargiing for ammo, so I buy it on line. Even with shipping it is still a lot cheaper than dealing with the locals. If I buy boxes of .38 Special on line it might be as low as $19 a box for 50 rounds plus 15 bucks for shipping, That's about $110 for the buy. Locally, the same buy would be $170 or more, and I don't have to burn gas to get the rounds...

I just bought a case of Norma TAC22 online for a fraction less than 10 cents a round. I didn’t really need it but had to feed my buying addiction.

Ammo prices are higher than before. But, they are coming down some. Plus, supply is going up. I see more 9mm rounds on the shelves than anything. Locally, FMJ .357s go for about $37 and FMJ .38 specials around $29. Yet, I have been buying LHP .38 special +P lately, which have been higher than both. That is the load that my wife feels comfortable with shooting from the snub nose .357. My goal is for her to shoot as often as possible, with a round that she is most likely to use. If the time comes, I want her to have an idea of what to expect. It might not hit like a .357. But, it should get the job done.

Gene I bought 1500 rds of those a few month back, believe it was a tad over $150 with shipping.
Haven't tried them out yet, but suppose to be some fine ammo.
A buddy of mine said he uses it for competition.
