Then you walk by a mirror and glance in to confirm your opinion.
Or worse, you make the same statement to your spouse...
"I look pretty good compared to them, right?"

I actually prefer the Clint Eastwood method of staying young.
His words are, "Don't let the old man in".
So far I'm holding him at bay, but he's planning his attack on me every day.

I have to say the sadist part is no longer having older family members to fall back on.

Just now I dropped my money clip on the floor. I took a minute to assess how much was in it,

Went to Hooters for lunch the other day and my friend asks me "which waitress would you prefer to be stuck in an elevator with"?

I answered, the one that can fix elevators! I'm old, tired and will have to pee shortly.

My wife is mean, she took down the mirror in my bathroom, and hung up a picture of my Grandfather.

I love all the comments about aging. We are approaching infinity brothers. I am still believing my body can do what it cannot. Oh well, just bought a sweet S&W CSX. It will be fun learning a new skill. Never owned a semi auto pistol. Onward!

Lol. You got awhile buddy. We are all heading into the great beyond. My sister said, after the death of a cousin...and so, it begins. I, and many of our brothers, have lived amazing lives. I don't welcome the end. I will live every day.

Actually, I had my annual physical this past week. The numbers looked good except for the bad cholesterol was a tad high, as was my weight. (More than a tad.).

Some of you might remember I changed my eating habits a couple years ago with my goal being weight loss. I dropped fifty pounds in ninety days by limiting my caloric intake. 1200 to 1500 calories a day. After the first few weeks, it wasn't that bad. I went from 280 to 230. Then packing to move, moving 1500 miles and living in an rv for two months, lots of fast food... 260.

Started back on the reduced caloric intake plan. As easy as I remembered if I stay busy. 262 to start. Goal is 200 to 220. The weight loss and minor increase in cholesterol meds should take care of the numbers. . Guess I can live a bit longer.

Well I have a brother 92 another that is 72 and a sister 83. They have all out lived their spouse which is sad. Hopefully I have some good years left along with my wife too.

My wife and I went on the Paleo diet almost two years ago.
We did not count calories or starve ourselves. I lost 30 pounds and she lost over forty by just getting off the processed food and following the Paleo book that we got. I had to cheat a little bit as I am six three and was down to 165 that I weighed in high school when I was running cross country. No more cereal in the morning . I always thought it was a poor excuse for breakfast. I have stayed at 175 for over a year and that is right where I want to be. Since I retired from full time carpentry four years ago the weight sneaked up on me so that is why the Paleo. I would recommend it to anyone who wants to get control of their health and weight.

I went to a low carb diet a couple years ago when my A1C started going up. I lost about 25 lbs over the course of a number of months. I kept it off for about 2 years. All of a sudden, last year they came back. No real changes in diet or lifestyle.
