Made it home today after the trip to Wisconsin to give Gene a hand then out to the Seattle area. Was a long trip put about 4400 miles on the car. Im tired of driving and need a break. 88 here today supposed to be windy tomorrow and only 70

I’m going back this next Monday to pick up my van and ammo. The couple that bought my house will pick me up at the train station. I thought the van would need a new battery but they have been starting the van a couple times a month and have put 500 miles on it in 6 months. Perfect!

62 was the low last night and it’s heady to 88 today. After .75” of rain last night my tractoring will need to wait a day. My Berm so far.

It was a wild evening last night. We spent an hour in my basement man cave as tornados were
reported in the area. When the front finally hit it wasn't as bad as we expected though. I'm
not sure of damage until I cruise the driveway.
We're supposed to get more severe weather tonight.
Carol is still not feeling well so she's sleeping in.

cool and cloudy (57) on its way to 67 later today .... some rain in the mid afternoon ... no breakfast this morning .. .. but, that's a good thing .... our 13 year old grandson's school lets out at 11AM and I plan to be there to pick him up .... from there I plan to introduce him to Waffle House .. .. for a very different breakfast from what he gets a home .... once we get back here, he will start mowing and I'll start cleaning our Davy Crockett Smoker-Grill

Another morning waking up to 27. Seems to be a pattern here. Funny, the local weather guy reported it was 39 in Spokane and 25 in Deer Park. The official reading in Spokane is out at the airport which is higher in elevation than both Spokane and Deer Park. The official reading in Deer Park is at the small airport a few miles up the road from me. 14 degree difference is surprising.

Our plan to spend the night in the trailer with the pup last night was a big failure. The last thing we did prior to settling in for the night was to make up the bed. Unfortunately we couldn’t find the sheets and between the two of us we can’t remember what happened to them. Probably put them on a bed in the house but……..

So today we’ll make a trip to Target and get some sheets.

Cool here today and sending positive thoughts up Coops way for Carol and a speedy recovery. I hope she feels better soon Coop and I know she is in good hands.

It's noon and 83F. It isn't muggy so it's fine by me.

Coffee in the Farmalll mug today.

An early doctor's visit resulted in late coffee consuming.

My goal is to clean out the barn and perhaps continue plowing in the field.

I can remember going to the Deer Park Dragstrip. Is it still at the airport?

An hour ago it was 94 degrees on my porch. Then a big wind came through that only lasted a few minutes. The neighbor called and told me to watch for funnels. Then it started to pour down with lightning everywhere. I just checked the temperature and it’s 71.

You got me thinking about what I would do in the event of a tornado. I hadn’t really thought about it. Guess I would grab the cat and run to the root cellar. I haven’t been inside of it. Hope it doesn’t have spiders.

I would get a bug bomb to set off in it. If it hasn't been used for awhile I will bet it has spiders. Probably would want some kind of lantern, water and snacks (for you and the cat) and maybe a battery operated radio too.

I suspect that the root cellar was built for a tornado shelter in the first place. If you see a funnel headed your
way a few spiders won't stop you.

34 with sunshine today. First morning above freezing for several days. Nice today, rain tomorrow morning and then nice again on Sunday.

Good news as the big air show at our local Air Force base (Fairchild) is this weekend. The Thunderbirds will be here to put on a show. Before retiring I worked right next door to the airbase and as I was outside for a good part of the day I used to watch then practice. Been to the show itself many times so I won’t fight the estimated crowds of 150,000 this year. First time in three years the show will be held.
