Happy Mother’s Day to all the mothers out there. Last day in Seattle headed back to Colorado in the morning with an overnight stop in Naches again at the daughters house. Another cloudy dull day here in the Pacific Northwest

We're going to the Retreat Center across the lake for Mother's Day Brunch at 10;00.
Unfortunately my daughter in law and my 18 year old Grandson won't be joining us.
We learned yesterday that he has Covid with a high fever and body aches and pains.
His Mom said last night that the fever has broken, thank God. We will miss them at the
table. He's my former "Little Buddy", and now stands well over six foot tall. A nice kid,
he just grins at me when I tell him to stop growing. I worried about him all day yesterday.

34 here on this Mothers Day in the Inland Northwest. There is a frost predicted for some areas tonight and that is significant. Tradition around here is to wait to plant outdoor flowers until Mothers Day or when the snow is off a local mountain called Mica Peak, which ever comes later. So that has made Mothers Day a planting event for many. Not this year with the frost warning for tonight.

Spent the day yesterday at my son’s cutting up a huge pile of logs he “inherited” when he bought his new place late last year. Due to rain, wind, hail, rain, hail, thunder, hail, lightning (very close), rain and then more hail we only got about 2/3rd of our way thru the pile. To be continued.

Mostly Tamarack which is great for wood stoves and a little pine mixed in. Tamarack cut and split sells around here for $250 per cord so by the time we will have finished up cutting and splitting he should have well over 1K of firewood. He’s planning on burning it not selling it.

Well here in Central Va. not the best of Mother's Days . Socked in with a North East storm trail bringing in windy 40's to 50 temp with showers.
We will make the best of it though! Here in Va. best not to put away the sweat shirts till late May!

Coop prayers and good wishes for your grandson. Partly cloudy, high of 72, currently 60. Got 2 inches of rain in 45 minute last night, flash flooding through out the county. Everybody have a great Mother’s Day!

44 Booooo Chilllllly degrees this morning in central NC .... projected to get up to 69 later today under a clear Carolina Blue sky .... a regular breakfast has come and gone but Folgers is still very much still flowing .... first up today, regular dental appointments that will pretty much take all morning .... Getting ready to go to the retirees breakfast at Cracker Barrel this morning.
Texted with my Grandson last night and he said his fever was gone and he was doing
much better. I was worried about him and I do appreciate all the concerns shown on this
forum. Caleb is what they call a high functioning autistic. He has a mild speech impediment
and has problems organizing his activities, but he gets As in most subjects in High School.
He's well over six foot tall and just grins at me all the time. He's really a sweet kid.
I worry about him.

Coop glad to hear the Grandson is doing better. Maybe he needs ine of those spicy beef sandwiches. Getting ready to fire up here out west and head back towards the east. Should be home Wednesday after a one night stay at the daughters again.

Currently 32 but the temp dipped to 29 overnight and had a light frost this morning. 51 later with on and off rain and more wind of course.

Hoping to do some mowing today in the non-lawn areas which are growing like crazy. Sure do like all the green we have this time of the year.

Currently 82° this morning headed into the 90's. Cooked bacon, eggs, toast and coffee for breakfast. Going out this morning to get a new pair of shoes. I always wear them until there's no sole left.
