Went to the gun club last night. They were shooting trap and skeet but I didn't stay too long.
With the shortage of reloading supplies some of my old friends have run out of powder and I had
some extra, so I gave one friend some and sold an 8 lb can to another so they could keep shooting.
I'm not trying to make money on this, just help out friends.
Then Carol and I and two other gun club couples went for beer and wings.
I got home in time to zoom the Legion meeting and found out I was reelected to the Holding Corp for
two more years. I was ambiguous about being reelected. We have our Veteran's Village building project
well under way so now all that's left to do is watch it get build, but I said I'd see it through to the end
if they desired, and I guess they did. The Legion Post owns the Gun Club.

Upper 60's this morning on the dog walk. Noticed a stray while out, a nice looking female husky. Happy to report we were able to reunite with it's owner. Cooked eggs, bacon, toast and coffee. Going to get my second Covid booster this morning and a trip to the LGS to get some goodies.

30 heading to 58 with sunny skies. Yahoo! Maybe spring is finally here.

I’m going to take it easy today, Sir Paul McCartney is kicking off his new tour right here in Spokane and we were able to snag tickets. This is his first visit to Spokane and the show sold out in an hour, not surprising. The show starts at 8:00 PM which is my normal bedtime. We can expect a three hour show and with the parking lot gridlock and the trip home I don’t expect to be home until well after midnight. (After Midnight, isn’t that an Eric Clapton song?) Anyway, tomorrow I won’t be worth a dang but who cares?

59° and cloudy. 1st cup of coffee is working, and I guess it's sausage eggs and toast. The standard here. We got a lot accomplished on the staining of the fence yesterday, and I was hoping to do more today, but the body is not quite ready. Dang it's a lot of fence. The weather is also a factor. The weather guesser"s are saying rain later, so not sure. I do have to go to town and buy some bird seed. They sure are hungry. Hummingbird has found the chow line also. Cheers!

Currently 72° and sunny. Just had a bowl of cereal and coffee. I've got the gear ready to load to make the range trip. I'm sighting in my Ruger .223 this morning after changing scopes and trying the Skinner barrel sight on the Remington 141. I'll post success or failure later in the range report.

They texted me that they are on the way. They will probably hit the Twin Cities

we awoke to a cool 55 degree morning .... looking out we are under a solid high overcast sky, according to the weather radar, there ain't a cloud in the state of NC .. ..supposed to get up to 72 with the hourly forecast calling for a 3 to 6% chance of rain .... breakfast and Folgers over for today .... only plans for the day are to get our new smoker going so as to finish burning it in

We managed to arrive at our lunch stop at the same time. Good planning.
Actually we were early so we went across the street and walked through Cabela's for twenty minutes.
Then when Portillo's opened at 10:30 we went in and as promised, I bought lunch.
We had Italian Beef Sandwiches with fries and a drink.

Because they were just opening they threw in a piece of chocolate cake. One piece, three guys.
They left with the cake and two forks and will snack on the road.
Two nicer guys I have yet to meet. We really enjoyed each others company. We met about ten and they
were back on the road by eleven thirty. They have a long trip ahead of them.
I am very glad we all took the time to meet.
On the left is Sir Henry, in the middle is Big Al, and of course the most handsome, on the right, is yours

Well, you're in the area where there is not much but not much.
Fargo/Moorhead is a large metro area.

I'm jealous about Portillo's though. Used to eat there a lot when I lived in the Chicago area. Hard to pick a favorite, but I loved the combo, Italian beef and sausage! My mouth is watering.

Its nighttime in Miles City Montana. Made it here about 10 pm. Another full day tomorrow and we will have mage the long trip back.

58° and cloudy. 1st mug of gp juice is down, and the cook is preparing breakfast. Probably sausage eggs and toast. Got almost all of the fence stained yesterday, I just have 10 feet to go, but we ran out of stain. I also dropped my s20 phone in a full pai t tray of stain, and my favorite ball cap. Rinsed them both off, and they both still work. Didnt know my phone was water proof .Off to the hardware store later. We beat the rain. Speaking of hardware stores, we basically have none except lowes and home depot. There's a guy that's going to try and bring 5 new Ace hardware stores to tbe area. One right here in Piney Flats. Can't wait. Radio day today, and checking in with the USCG Amateur Radio net at 12 noon est. My Daughter listens to me on the computer through their tune in app. She enjoys hearing me, and I always mention her and her family. Cheers!

we awoke to a cloudy sky, 56 on its way to 74, with a rapidly dwindling chance of rain .... breakfast is history, next up is attending our 5 year old grandson's first T-ball game of this season .... one of our sons and his wife are coaching the team, that's a first .... several chores on tap that require diving shot distances .... sure hope they are right about the rain
