Cimarron 1871 Richards revolver Oct 9th

Post by RanchRoper » Sun Oct 09, 2016 5:02 pm

Cold, windy and looking a lot like snow coming. Shot just 10 rounds today. Wasn't there long. 15 yds off hand standing, one handed. Not great by any stretch but at least hit paper. Gun shoots great and it's totally me as the reason I'm not in the middle. After awhile it should get better. Took me awhile to get my Henry figured out but now fairly confident I can hit the broad side of the barn. I sure love this revolver though. It feels great in the hand and sure puts a smile on my face. :)

At that distance, I'd be very proud to own this target! I have no doubt that you will be a true sharpshooter with both of your guns, and have double the fun while you're at it!

Haha, ya she's a handful when she goes bang! I don't know how much better the results will get, but I'll keep at it.

At 15 yards that is darn good. Facing off on the streets of Dodge City would be half that distance. I think you would have brought Bad Bart to his just rewards.
No doubt that you will get better with practice. I actually shoot my single action better with one hand. They were designed to be shot that way.
Load on Sunday and Shoot all Week.......okay it's a Mare's Leg I will reload on Wednesday. ;)

I agree with RetiredSeabee. Of course, my SA is a .22 and you are shooting a .45 Colt. Just a little bit of difference there.
