And the stuff keeps falling out the sky...
From the pollen capital of the East coast we have had very heavy pollen last 2 weeks and now the maple trees like the big one in my front yard are letting those helicopter leaf things loose in the wind. They get everyplace and love the gutters which I will be dumping every couple days. Glad I have those flip over gutters that takes about 5 minutes to do the whole house. Pine trees which I have will be dropping there junk soon too and at one problem gutter location I rebuilt that downspout with a large free flow collector at end of gutter with straight down spout drop...no curves.
When the pollen dump is done then the Mustang can come out to play!

Snow is forecast in the next two hours here. Hard to believe as it’s still 44F. The low tonight will be 28F. I guess our pollen will have to wait.

Man, we sure DON'T miss that, but it brings back memories...
We have the 2010 Galaxy Black Titan Pro4x and it was a yellow green for two months of the year... One of the first things we did after we bought the new truck to pull the kayak trailer for the charity was to buy the parking awning to protect it from "Falling Things." Pollen, Acorns, Walnuts, Sap... sheesh, it never stopped. Oh, did I forget hail?
We actually ended up with two. We already had one up near the entrance to the house for the smaller truck we usually had for a daily driver. When we added the Titan we just ADDED a second parking area near the boathouse. Never regretted it. The first awning had held up very well so we just called the same company and they had a new one up in six or eight hours, once they fit us into their schedule.
Yeah, we still got the windblown pollen, but the rest? Nope. No damage from the falling objects. The best thing? No ice on the windshield and no cleaning snow buildup off the vehicles in the winter! (Insert snoopy happy dance here!)

Here in Oklahoma we have a garage for the Frontier but still an awning for the Titan. No pollen, but Tornadoes and nearly constant winds, and dust. Sometimes the winds gust to 50 to 70mph. We are thinking seriously of adding SIDES to the parking awning. If for nothing else, to protect the paint from the dust and the sun.

I had a Carport built years ago to protect 2 of our vehicles. After they left (5 guys had it up in 45 minutes, lol) I was checking it over and couldn't find the shadow, lol. I looked and the evening sun had it off in the woods somewhere. I was convinced anyway to have them to come back to install Sides and Gables. What a difference!!BrokenolMarine wrote: ↑Thu Apr 14, 2022 7:14 amWe are thinking seriously of adding SIDES to the parking awning. If for nothing else, to protect the paint from the dust and the sun.

Well, I 'm gonna guess that Carol won't be recycling with this for a bit.
