19F with no wind and the day is promising to be sunny with a high in the 40’s. Folgers and cherry pie are calling me.

36º and new snow on the ground, probably won't last all day. Tried new percolator today. I had forgotten what a mess they can be. Toast and coffee then filling holes in bench top with epoxy for finish sanding.

34° & snowing. 2 days ago it was 80°. 1st cup of coffee is working. Waffles and sausage this morning. Pretty much staying inside, cleaning guns, and I'll probably get on the radio and see who I can contact. Yesterday I talked with my radio buddy Slavko in Slovenia. He comes in pretty good. We talk once or twice a week. He'd into guns, and is former military. Anyway Cheers!

I need to get started cleaning up the woods. Lots of dead wood to either cut and split, or
burn in place. Between Oak Wilt and the Emerald Ash Borer I have a lot of dead wood.

51°this morning walking the dogs. It's only warmed up to 52° two hours later but the forecast says it's supposed to get into the lower 80's. Just had cereal and strawberries this morning. I have a bit of work while doing laundry. Robyn has to work a full day today.

33 heading to 50 something with partly cloudy skies. Cold front coming in and for the next several days we will see below freezing overnights and only in the 40’s for daytime. Maybe a bit of that “S” stuff but no accumulations.

I think this will be the first day in the last several I get to stay home and work on chores. Maybe…my son is looking at a mower/snowblower in a nearby town and I may go with him to look at it. There goes the day…

its a cool, overcast morning where we are camped with our club at Raleigh Oaks on I-95 near Four Oaks, NC .... the ladies are at the local outlet malls .... .... I've been taking care of various odds and ends with our camper .... mostly plumbing related, replacing rubber hose washers and a couple of inline screen filter washers .... our water pressure regulator most definitely needs to be rebuilt, that's a project for our next rainy day back home .... its easy to see that our lack of spending the winter in Texas has dulled our trip skills .... don't think we've ever left so many items we need for this outing at home .... on the bright side, this does give us a really good chance to improvise which could probably come in handy down the line .... forgot to put our griddle back in the camper after using it at home so had to use several different pans and electric cooking elements .... breakfast turned out fine .... thankfully, no shortage of Folgers ..

Had to change a leaky pressure relief valve on my friends 5th wheel. Wasn't sure if I was going to be able to get it off, it's recessed and can only get a small pipe wrench on it straight on. Lots of rust buster and finally used a larger pipe wrench at an angle. Mangled it up pretty good but finally got it off. The new one is a little longer and has two flats so you can get on it with a open end wrench.

At first I was thinking the water on the floor was coming from the tank itself (it's around 15 years old). Luckily it was just the valve. It's a combination electric/gas water heater so I hate to think about what a new one will cost.

Provided the missus with coffee in bed, made breakfast of western omelet and bacon. Did dishes, worked on vacuum packing:
50lbs of groats,
50lbs of rolled 6 grain cereal,
50lbs of bread flower,
25lbs of jasmine rice,
25lbs of sushi rice,
10lbs of black beans,
5lbs of calypso beans,
5lbs of cranberry beans,
5lbs of adzuki beans,
5lbs of anasazi beans,
10lbs of currants,
and a few other various things we ordered.

Made dinner of bean soup, salad, and grilled salmon.

Made the above oni nigiri for our road trip tomorrow.

I ate one of the spicy mentiko.

Oh, I trimmed 35 rounds of 45lc bras to 1.215" and folded a metric ton of laundry. I swore I kept up on it all week, and poof, 6 loads, appeared out of nowhere.

That's actually kind of close to what I was thinking. Told my friend I guessed a $1000 if we had it done although it's probably something I could do. We have no way to haul it and it's kind of set up semi-permanently on my property so would have to have it done on-site.

Priced a 40gal electric water heater while I was picking up the valve and they're around $600. Mine is around 15 years old so is probably close to needing replacement.

28° and frosty. 1st cup of dark roast coffee in the Gadsen mug is working. Dogs up and been out. It ain't t T-shirt weather. Breakfast is Bacon eggs and toast. I gotta start cooking the bacon up. Sun's up time to move. The treadmill awaits. Just going to piddle around today. Nothing pending.

29 now and looking at probably the mid 40’s later. We have a cold front in place and expect a below normal week ahead. Yesterday as I was trying to get work done outside I had snow, graupel, rain and non-stop wind. Gave up, came inside and watched the Masters golf tournament. After a couple of hours the sun came out but I didn’t.

More of the same today and again tomorrow. So far April is coming in like a lion. Thought that was a March thing.
