I have great neighbors Jim. I called another neighbor couple in their 80’s yesterday asking if they needed any help with the snow. Everyone looks out for each other.

Morning from central W TN, it's 61 which in fact will most likely be our high for this day.
Looks like rain off and on today. Then down to around 40 this evening.

Re: Our Morning Coffee and Weather
It’s going to be about freezing day and night for the next three days. High overcast from the south which is the first time I’ve seen that. Usually it’s from the north. More rain is expected.

Storms coming. Breakfast and coffee is done, and time to get this party started. Got some gun parts coming today, so I'll be working in the gun room. Yesterday I took my linear amp apart to troubleshoot low power. Found 1 tube bad. 3 months ago the tubes I need cost $25.00 ea. Now they are $68.00.

Re: Our Morning Coffee and Weather
As I dunk my cookies and sip my coffee I notice that the ice seems to be going out on the lake.
It's usually the wind that does it and we have pretty heavy wind today. It will churn it up into
a giant daiquiri. Course you wouldn't want to drink it.
A few years ago the day after the ice went went out I was putting my Cat Boat in the water when
I fell off the back into the lake. As I was sitting on the bottom looking up I was thinking how cold
it was and that it was going to be even colder when I got out of the water. It was.
I walked up the hill to the house and went in through the walkout. I stripped off everything and threw
them into the washer and then went to find dry clothes. Carol found all this quite amusing.

Re: Our Morning Coffee and Weather
Got up early this morning as I had to go get my eye injections. I just ate a bowl of cereal and apple before I left. Eye doc wants to change what he plunges in there the next time. He's been giving me Lucentis and want to start me on Eylea

I really don't care one way or the other, but he thinks he can cut down the number of times I have to go get them.

Re: Our Morning Coffee and Weather
talk about a day, its hard to believe its been only one day .... after breakfast, started working on our Traveler Smoker .... repairing it has been a major pain and still is .... bottom line, more new parts are on the way .... then made arrangements to get our 4th Covid shots next week .... closing our old bank account and opening a replacement has been another major pain (thankfully Maureen is working with that one) ..... just returned from picking our 6 year old grandson from kindergarten .... working with him on his math homework is proving to accomplish nothing .... he is going to need a bunch of help over time to get the concept .... one semi bright spot has been handling the insurance repair claim on Maureen's Camaro .... the biggest bright spot of today has been the weather .... simply beautiful with a high temp in the low 80's for the first time this spring

Re: Our Morning Coffee and Weather
Busy day yesterday . Started off having to get a cow up with calving trouble. Had a calf coming backwards which is often a bad deal.. and it was... I did get her in corral and snubbed down to a big post with a rope twisted around her nose into a halter and put on pullers and got calf out. It was already dead, but cow appears to be ok. Had two other cows calve yesterday the correct way, and those babies are up and running around and yesterday evening and another one just starting to have a few pains so should have another one this morning. So, more adventure than I care for. It was the first glitch I've had in calving all spring, and hopefully will be the last..... time will tell, they are getting close to being done now so I will hope it works that way. I've observed over many years that while you can have trouble at any time throughout the calving season I tend to see the most incidents of problems right at the beginning or right at the end... and in general terms... if you deal with any endeavor, be it cows or spaceships... you will have trouble sometime... thats how it works.... so you deal with it as best you can and move on.... I still don't have any Russians shooting at me so it's better than it might be... good luck to all you folk out there today dealing with your projects

Re: Our Morning Coffee and Weather
51° cloudy and wet. 1st cup of coffee is down, and I'm getting ready make sausage egg and toast sandwich. Storm came through last night. Lots of thunder and lighting. Quite a show. Today I will be replacing tubes in my amplifier, so I can get back on the air. Yesterday I finished my AK47 build. I know yall don't want to hear about a ak47 on a Henry forum, but she's a beauty, and it's so fun to shoot. It's my dedicated truck and SXS gun. Yesterday I installed a Ultimak gas tube/rail, and put my Red dot optic on it. It co- witnesses with the irons perfectly. Can't wait to get some range time in when this weather breaks. Cheers!

Jim I thought maybe you were in for a time of it with that Traveler. After looking over ours I decided to get a new one.
