Who,.....Hoo, ok, it's a owl
Pulled in my driveway after work a couple of years back and saw this critter starring at me. I walk to within about 10' of it and then backed away. Weird seeing one during the day, and was on a limb not 4' off of the ground. Cell phone photo, that's my main camera these days.

That looks like one very chilled out owl, and its plumage provides superb camoflage. Whoo needs Gillie suits!

I was turning around in my driveway and I was aimed his way while doing it. Something made me think that there was something odd in front of me so I stopped and searched closely, and then I saw him. I couldn't believe my eyes at first, because one, he was out during the daytime, two, he was not flying away (he has a lot of faith in his camo and stillness) and three, that he was so low to the ground. I fully expected him to fly off when I got out of the truck and started his way. As I got within about 10', I snapped the picture and slowly backed away. The little fellow wasn't any more than 6"-7" tall sitting on that limb. I don't now if he's an adult or a youth, but he sure was cute sitting there staring at me.

This family of owls moved into my front yard in 2006 and stayed a couple of years before moving on.

That's a really terrific photo! I don't ever recall seeing an entire family pose so perfectly for the photographer!
