57° this morning headed to the low 80's today. I've got to get some work done but plan on going to the range tomorrow. I don't know what I'm going to take yet but may take out the Ruger .223 or the Ruger M77 .280 HB. Made sausage, eggs, toast and coffee this morning.

We had wind gust up to 60 mph yesterday.

Hey Gene, do what we do. We have two freezers and we purchase beef and pork
from local farmers that have them slaughtered and sell locally. Our farmer just
called yesterday wanting to know if we needed some beef as he just had one go
to the butcher. We didn't yet. We usually get a half of a half of a beef at a time.
With hogs we usually get a half hog.
I'll bet there are farmers in your area doing this.
Life is good out in the wilderness.

Beef, chickens, eggs, milk and even real mable syrup can be purchased directly from the farmers around here. Most of these foods are unprocessed like the milk is not pasteurized. The hay grown in the field next to me is fed to such a farmers dairy cows. He is my neighbors cousin. I have a small freezer and should fill it. That will give me meat however the things I miss the most are fresh vegetables and fruit.

We live within daily driving distance to Cub Foods, Costco, and many other large food outlets.
I am amazed daily with the large variety of fresh produce on their shelves. Ok, it's always better
right from the orchard or garden, but just wait a few months and there will be Famer's Markets springing'
up in every little town. We buy a lot of fresh vegetables from them and Carol either freezes or cans a lot
of it. We really eat well the year around.

I hate the wind too. Been really windy here for a while now. Not as cold as you, but that wind makes it feel so much colder than it is.

33° and sunny on this fine Sunday morning. Breakfast and coffee are long gone. I sure hope tbe wind settles down today. Getting real tired of it. The only people who like wind are Blow boaters lol. Cheers!

Another cold day but at least the wind has diminished.
Church, brunch, and a holding corps meeting the afternoon.
Out Veteran's Village is moving along quickly. I'm up for re election next month.
I don't care too much as the hard work is done now and it's just a matter of watching it happen,
but I would like to see it through.

Woke up to 36 and the weather lady just told me that I should enjoy 63 today. Currently we have a very thin overcast that the sun is trying to get thru. Not going to hit 63 unless that overcast blows away.

No big plans for today other than taking the pup for a hike and continuing my outdoor work. Felt crappy yesterday so didn’t do anything but go to the local variety store where the rumor mill stated that some .410 ammo was in stock. They did have two boxes of AA #9 target loads so I picked up one and left one. This should be good fodder for my Henry .410 lever for some practice/function test shooting and now I can save my #6 field loads for the grouse.

27° and clear. Looks like a nice day. Working on my coffee, breakfast is sausage eggs and toast. Lots of outside work to do. Helped my son with his AR15 yesterday, and he went home with a years worth of shooting times. Cheers!

31 on its way to 56, no chance for rain in the forecast .... hopefully the predicted return to temps in the 70's later this week will prove to be right .... spring can't be far away, the local strawberry farmers have announced they will open their stands this coming weekend .. .. breakfast is history, as usual .... Folgers still flowing, again as usual .... we tried to mow yesterday, new drive deck belts should be here tomorrow .. ..Increased Fire Danger Today... Minimum relative humidity values will become critical and decrease to around 15 percent during the afternoon. Additionally, westerly winds between 10 and 20 mph, with gusts mostly between 20 and 25 mph, are expected to occur from mid-morning through the afternoon. Increased fire danger will result.

We returned to winter also. 21F and not getting out of the 20s today. There's about 3 to 4 inches of snow on the ground.
Coffee is in a scout mug this morning. I wanted to make something different this morning, so it's grits and eggs.

Not much on the plate today. Time to make a few appointments.

The meeting went well yesterday and then we went out to eat.
The Ranchero for a nice filet with FF and beer cheese soup.

36 heading to a forecast of 63. Yesterdays prediction of 63 didn’t happen…but 70 did! what a beautiful day we had yesterday.

Pup is going to doggie-daycare today so he will be a tired little (75+ Lb) guy tonight. We can watch the dogs on an online camera and it’s pretty incredible how active they get. For me, it’s more time attached to the rake. Still on manual with my clean up but will hopefully switch to mechanical here shortly. Nothing better than running an internal combustion engine to help with chores. Let the machine do the work I say…

It was 63° this morning and is already 78°at noon. Made coffee, eggs, bacon and toast for breakfast. Getting ready to fix something for lunch. I've got a busy week with repairs unfortunately. I keep trying to slow down but people just won't let me.
