Changed phones

Post by daytime dave » Wed Oct 05, 2016 6:29 am

I had an iphone 4s years ago. I still use it as an ipod. I also have an ipod, 32gig. I wanted the iphone six when they came out, but none were available. I got the Samsung S5. I liked the android system. Google chrome and the google platform were very nice to use. It was just too big. I started to look for a good used iphone5s. Then I found it. The iphone SE 64 gig. It's the same size as the 5s with all the features of the iphone 6. So far so good. I'm still looking at how to get pictures from the icloud onto my pc, but I'm sure I will get that soon.
I am also getting reacquainted with Siri. I like that better than the google or samsung one.
What kind of phone do you have and what do you like about it?

I have been a Samsung/Android devotee for years. Currently have the Samsung Galaxy S6. I am the only Android user in my family. Everybody else had iPhones of one model or another. Sometimes it irritates me that they all face-time and leave me out, but not enough to make me switch systems.

I recently got my very first personal cell phone. It is a Apple i6 plus and although it is big I like it a lot. I can read web pages easily and this forum is formatted perfectly for it.
For more than twenty years I have had a company provided cell phone. Most of them were pretty crappy for anything other than placing or receiving a call. I had a Blackberry for a while that I liked for the features, calendar, messaging and such but the keyboard was so small it was a pain to use. A couple of years ago the company switched us all over to Apple i 5s. It was a big step up for ease of use but due to security restrictions we are very limited with what features we can use. Siri is not allowed and all apps have to be approved by corporate legal. The other pain in the ..... was entering a 7 digit unlock code everytime I had to use the phone. We recently upgraded to i6 models and they are much easier to use and the touch code is a big help.
Load on Sunday and Shoot all Week.......okay it's a Mare's Leg I will reload on Wednesday. ;)

I have a simple flip phone and wish I didn't even have to have that. I can't be messing with a phone and still get anything done on the job site. Enjoy your new phone that's just not a priority for me.
