Thanks all for the best wishes, she came over tonight asked if I would take her and her little sister to range tomorrow. Made my heart melt, she said maybe going shooting would make her feel better🥲! Tonight I had a beer with grilled wings for supper, thanks to all and skål

Evening, today would've been mother's 90th bd., she wasn't much of a drinker. In her later years she would have a glass of wine from time to time.
Cheers to you all and hope you had a good day.
Enjoying a Black and Tan.

I took the 2 granddaughters to range, both wanted to use the Henry pump. GD #3, is 8 and GD #1 is 11 (suffering from gastroporesis). Each had 25 shells a piece and they didn’t want to shoot paper, so we set up shotgun hulls, colored water bottles, rimfire spinner, rimfire bouncing ball and cans. They had a blast of course they are competitive and they had contests and just had fun. They went through their shells and gave each of them 50 more. It was great therapy for GD #1, she relapsed and is on liquids only diet ands may have to have nose tube reinserted. She actually laughed and giggled for the first time in awhile. I appreciate all support from forum, Sláinte

I hope I’m not boring this forum with the saga of GD #1

No way at all we like hearing range reports especially with the children being involved. Sounds like it was a great time.

Brm, as you've heard it said before; this forum is like family.
Not nearly what you are going through, but it brings to mind, almost three years ago, they were my support group when trying to quit smoking. I have been successful! That quite easily could have been a life saver!
We care!! Don't think twice about that!
Great and heartwarming range report. Please keep us in the loop.

Most of my Grandkids are grown now but I always had air rifles for them to shoot whenever they visited. They became
very proficient with them and the usual curiosity for guns that children have was fulfilled safely. I now have a crop of
Great Grandchildren but they live far away, so I have to depend on their parents to do the teaching. So far, it's going
well.
We also have a pool where they all learned to swim. My oldest daughter refers to our home as "Dad's resort." Of course
we live on a lake and they all learned to canoe as well.
Enjoy your time BRM. It goes by so quickly.

Tonight the temperature is dropping fast. It's in the thirties now and a good night for enjoying one of my new home's favorite amenities, the jacuzzi. Mary took a bath and I said leave the water, I want to soak in the jacuzzi after. As we changed guard, she asked if I needed anything. Well, a whiskey and water would be nice. I had a little Buffalo trace in one of the cupboards. Since my fall, I haven't been able to taste the good (or any) bourbon to enjoy it. I did manage to sit in the jacuzzi amongst the steam and jets and enjoy a half hour of bliss. The taste wasn't there, but the relaxing calmness of the trace came over me. On the last sip, I raised my glass and toasted all the good members here.
Salut.
