Our Morning Coffee and Weather

When I was single and raising two boys deep in the woods I would purchase milk, cream, and even
bread and freeze them. I found that with an overnight thaw and a shake the milk and cream were as
good as fresh and the bread was good as well. I also bought bread dough frozen and when we wanted
fresh bread I put in a pan to thaw and rise and the next day we had home made bread.

Milk freezes quite well. All I have to do is pour a cup ou so it doesn’t expand too much. I will try the bread. I’ve done that in decades back. I’m not much of a stovetop cooker but give me an oven and barbecue and I’m great.

43° this morning on the dog walk under clearing skies. Now it's a balmy 45°! Cooked bacon, eggs, toast and coffee for breakfast. I have a few errands this morning and then a bit of work this afternoon.

48 with hours of rain supposed to move in a little while from now .... supposed to get up to 56, hope it does but it sure doesn't feel likely .... up and out early so as to take our 6 year old grandson to "Track Out Camp" .... our only planned time to leave home today is to go back and pick him up this afternoon

22 with sunny skies and a forecast high of 33 pending. Today I am driving north about 35 miles to deliver a sofa I sold a guy. Thankfully he’s paying me $100 to deliver it with the price of gas and my 12 mpg. Saw $4.19 in Deer Park yesterday at a station that just last week was $3.66. Should be a nice day to make a drive.

It started to snow right after my last post. I have an inch of power on top of two feet of hard crusted snow. So much for me making it into town today.

Thanks. Everyday here is beautiful no matter what the weather. This was dusk three nights ago. This is the view from my front window.

30 F and snowing. It should go above freezing today, so will it turn to rain or sleet?

Coffee in the Farmall mug this morning.

A little touch up painting and then to look over the seed catalog. Blueberry bushes, raspberry bushes are going to be a must. A few trees, apple, pear and peach I think. I'm sure they will become deer magnets, so I'll have to fence them and put them closer to the house than originally planned. Perhaps some sweetcorn this year.

41° and party cloudy going to 57° later on. Working on the 1st cup of go juice and watching the sun come up. Going to make a supply run today for groceries and gas. There were long lines at the Sams club gas station. No way am I waiting inline. Glad the diesel pickup is topped off. Crazy times. Cheers

28F going to 38F today. Cloudy and the snow was heavy and wet yesterday. It's heavier now.

I finished my physical therapy yesterday. The therapist and I both agreed anymore would just be more than necessary at this point. Home exercise is in order now. As Spring arrives, that won't be difficult.
Laundry on tap for today. I can't wait to hang it outside on my regular clothesline.
My new snow shoes arrived yesterday afternoon. I can't say enough how I am impressed. I do hope I have to wait until next year to try them though!

After an overnight low of 12 it’s currently 19 and heading to 39 later. Overcast today and it’s expected to be so all day. Saturday we are forecast to see 55 and sunny, I could get used to that.

Nothing special today so I’ll have to find my own amusement. Not an outside type of day unfortunately.

44 right now, only supposed to get up to 49 with rain supposed to move through in the early afternoon .... only appointment today is with an attorney to take care of making some changes that our ages make necessary ....

This is repair day. We leave for Myrtle Beach tomorrow so I need one day to just catch

Actually, I'd rather at this point head for home. I'm tired of this east coast traffic.
