After an hour and a half drive down then Florida Gulf Coast we visited my Wife's sister and her husband.
They live in a sterile looking story book home in a gated community. It wasn't to my taste.

Got a ride in a futuristic Mercedes Benz, six months out of the dealer, with all the bells and whistles. Wow!
Again, not to my taste.

Went in this expensive motor vehicle to a run of the mill café, where the food was not very good, but cheap.
I paid with little resistance. I was not impressed.

Back at the old motor home now with a martini. Now I am impressed.

Decided to indulge a beer or two or ten and plugged in the 'ol 64 Telecaster. Damn, new strings and it's sounding mighty fine! A little Marshall Tucker and some Mark Knopfler tunes came out fairly well. Almost 10:00pm here, so will have to turn things off. Only turn the amp to about 3-4. Plenty!

Sounds great Tom. Marshall Tucker is one of my all time favorites!
I was invited to a cookout with them many many years ago when they performed at Bear Mountain NY. Was lucky enough to meet Toy Caldwell when he was still alive.
Couldn't help sharing that memory when you mentioned them...sorry.

Toy Caldwell and Mark Kopfler were two players that showed what a guitar player can do without using picks and achieve a certain sound. It's how I play. Not at they're level tho.Having a good time. Maybe next week again.

Here’s to Markiver, Vaquero, BigAl, Cooperhawk, Rifletom and the rest of this fine Forum, 3 fingers of the Irish tonite. Went to a girl’s 2nd grade basketball game. The rule was there was no rules, our little town defeated a neighboring little town 30 to 0. It was painful to watch, might have to have a double tonight😬 Sláinte 🇮🇪
