It was a bit warmer this morning at 47° and now it's a pleasant sunny 69°. Made eggs, sausage, bacon, toast and coffee for breakfast.

It’s been mild so snow melting and lots of ice patches everywhere. I used to keep horses sharp shod but they just go barefoot now all winter. Better for them.

37 mild degrees, it feels great outside. Looking at possible 50 something today and no rain. Yesterday was a downpour that lasted most of the day. Can’t wait to take the pup for a hike and see how the thinning project looks now that the snow is melting. Still have probably 6” in the yard the but the area’s with trees is starting to clear up nicely.

My wife is suffering from internal shingles and is pretty miserable. We’re taking her to the doc today but there’s probably nothing much he can do expect for some pain management.

I started loading some 9mm yesterday which I’ll finish up this morning. Only need to seat and crimp bullets.
Hope she is feeling better.

19F and snowing

32° and Sunny. High is 65°
Got a late start this morning . 1st cup of coffee is starting to work. Just going to take it easy today after my walk. Yesterday I completed the testing of my small solar system in my shed. It's just going to be for battery charging, igniting, and a fan in the summer. I still have to clean up the wires a bit. I also have to make some kind of a stand for the panel. All in good time. Cheers!

38 on its way to 73 under a clear, beautiful Carolina Blue sky with a 0% chance of rain .... following a 10:45 physical therapy with side trips to pick up a prescription and dropping off a package to be returned by UPS, I'm looking forward to getting back home to put some Baby Back Ribs into our Traveler Smoker .... regular sausage and egg breakfast washed down with a fairly steady flow of Folgers has kicked off the day

I think this is why there are only 8 people in a square mile. At least it’s warmed up. I think the -29F I saw earlier this winter won’t return.

^^^^^^^^^^

Gene, “you’re having a heat wave…” :D

37 here with a forecast high of 44 and rain. More rain overnight into tomorrow morning but by the afternoon we expect to dry out. Then several days forecast with partly cloudy dry conditions. Should be great for getting out and starting the spring clean-up. Can’t wait.

Wife’s visit with the doc yesterday went well. He has prescribed her a pain medication that targets the nerve ends which hopefully will help with the pain management. Unfortunately the pharmacy we use is so understaffed they didn’t get the rx filled yesterday. Would have been nice to pick it up while we were in town. I have a dentist appt this morning for just a regular cleaning.

It was 40° this morning on the dog walk. I had my eye injections this morning so I just picked up a sausage and egg breakfast taco on the way for breakfast. Not doing much again today. Dermatologist called and said the biopsy came back as a squamous cell so have to go tomorrow afternoon to see if I have to have Moh's surgery later or if it's superficial enough just to scrape and burn.

Another fairly warm day ahead... lots on the schedule... feed cows, check for new calves, take my 88 year old mother to town go find a new dishwasher, go to a sheep and goat auction to try and get a guard donkey or two for the hair sheep my son has..... finally drag home by 9 b or 10 tonight and collapse into my nice bed.
So I'm busy today but still no Russians shooting at me so I'm good. Coffee up and go forth folks.

Getting warmer and spring is just around the corner. 57° on the morning dog walk and already up to 64°. It's going to be a short sleeve shirt day for sure. My back is bothering me a bit this morning but otherwise things are fine. Just had cereal and coffee for breakfast.

35 heading to 44 and the rain continues. This area is starting to get some lowland flooding in the usual areas and all this rain isn’t helping. Lots of snow melt in the mountains. But, the rain is supposed to be done later today and the next several days look to be dry with some sun breaks. Overnight lows below freezing so that will slow the snow melt in the mountains.

The pup is going to doggy daycare and then to the groomers (buildings are next door to each other, wife runs the groomers and husband runs the daycare) The groomer will walk next door and pickup Trey. Great program.

So with all this free time we plan to “party on Garth” by going grocery shopping. Sucks to get old.

Yesterday was busy.. but got all my little only important to me things completed. Took my little old mother and got a new dish washer found for her. Went to another town 35 miles the other direction and managed to get a guard jenny bought for my sons new, small herd of hair sheep. The rest of the big wide world is busy with its own projects of commerce, industry, riot, war and murder....I am pleased to be for this moment insulated to have time for my own little projects far from the wider worlds goals and plots. Not sure how long that insulation will last as the freying of the cord seems continual , if you listen to the news,🤔 . So, I say appreciate a quiet day of simple mundane tasks. For me, I hope today goes the same way as yesterday. A quiet life is sometimes underrated,... by those who have not yet packed their bags and fled their county. Yep, the birds and crickets are not that bad. It works for me. To each his own. Hope everyone coffee ups and has the day they seek. Yea-ha🙂
