Our Morning Coffee and Weather

57° and rain/wind going to 50°. 1st cup of coffee is done, watching war on the tube. Jeez! Sausage egg and toast sammich is on the menu. The Cook is still in the rack. My shooting plans for yesterday didn't happen due to rain and mud at the range. Doesn't look good for this week at all. Cheers l!

51 with heavy fog that is supposed to hang around for another couple of hours .... according to one of our local weather reports, it should get into the lower 70's later today .... another source is calling for it to only get into the low to mid 60's .... breakfast has come and gone .... biggest thing on the agenda for today is visiting with friends who are pretty much home bound

Teens going to just above freezing. The winter storm warning produced about 1.5 to 2 inches of snow overnight. More may fall this morning throughout the day.

Not much lined up for the day unless the driveway needs to be snowblown.

Zero degrees and I’m headed into town for coffee and breakfast just to talk to another human.

Woke up to 5 with a forecast of 28 for the high. Already up to 10 so at least we’re heading in the right direction. Right now there is a light snow falling but it won’t amount to anything that will require attention. Yesterday’s .5 inch is still on the concrete pad and hopefully it will melt off tomorrow or the next day as the temps warm up into the upper 30’s.

Watching the tragedy from Ukraine with great sadness. Have a neighbor who immigrated from there and I used to work with several Ukrainian immigrants. The folks I interacted with are/were wonderful people who all greatly appreciated their opportunity to live in the USA.

37° and cloudy going g to 47° layer today. Working on the 1st cup of dark roast Italian blend. No ones up yet, nor even the hound. Nothing pressing today, except my weekly radio check on HF to the USCG Amateur radio club. Yesterday cleaned my Benjamin/Sheridan 397P . The chrome barrel was tarnished. About 10 minutes work with some neverdull got it shinning dang near as good as new. I'll probably put a target up today and see how she prints. Cheers!

Here in sunny Florida it's 72, light winds and very pleasant.

Meanwhile, back up north it’s 8 and heading to 36 with the suggestion of sunny skies. This will be our first day above freezing in the last several. Then a warming trend with some 40’s coming this week. I’ll take it!

Even tho I’ve been reloading for decades I’m going to a reloading class today. It’s at the grange over in Elk Wa about 30 minutes drive from home. I think the instructor is going to use Lee Loaders at least partially and I have never used one. Yes, us old dogs can learn new tricks.

I started the reloading hobby using a Lee loader for
44 mag, .41 mag, and .357 magnum pistols in 1980. Feels like many moons ago. I also still have a Lee loader for 30.06. It was a simpler time lol

42 on its way to 47 with steady light rain until late afternoon .... not much in the way of accumulation anticipated; nonetheless, we have no plans to spend much time outside today .... breakfast is history but Folgers still very much in the present and no doubt it will be in the future as well ....

Woke up to 27 with a forecast high of 37. Had about a half inch of snow come down overnight but with the high reaching 37 I doubt I’ll do anything about the snow. A rainy week ahead with Tuesday’s high 49. Wow! Other days are cooler so hopefully we’ll get snow in the mountains. Snow pack is not good.

Went to that reloading class yesterday and it was a disappointment. We did use the Lee Loader but the instructor really didn’t know how to use it. He said he used them years ago but not recently. You would think he would have practiced before the class. Overall it was bad, if I were a person who had never reloaded before (which the class was supposed to target) I would have left with more questions than I arrived with. Felt bad for those folks.

Nothing planned for today, if the weather is decent (no rain) we may take the pup for a hike on some nearby trails.

It's a beautiful 82 and sunny here in Florida.
We traveled to the east coast yesterday and visited with Carol's brothers,
and today we will do the west coast and have dinner with Carol's youngest sister.
It's all good.
