Must be contagious LOL. One of our LGS got in one in a 45 colt and a 44 Mag. Already had the 45 colt but was nice enough to take the 44 mag from them. We went and shot a few rounds through it, Oiled it before I went and not only did it cycle well, it has a good trigger and pretty accurate considering the wind was blowing around 40 mph. Proud for you. Enjoy.

Congrats to picking a nice one! My LGS has a X model in .44 Magnum. Post up a Range report when you get to shoot it.

Somehow I can’t see you with an X in your hands Forty. If it doesn’t have wood stocks, I’m out. I’m even sceptical about the black painted all weathers. :D

Congrats on the new iron tcpip.

I'm putting the Skinner Peep rear sights on it, and the Large Loop Lever. Probably won't put a scope on it. Might change out the front sight to brass. Definitely not going as crazy as I did on my 45-70. I can't afford another one!

Well I use my Henry BBS 44 for the hot stuff and my newest Uberti/ Winchester 1873 for the milder .44 Mag loads. My Henry doesn't care for the plinking loads...you have to run the bullet fast so it doesn't have time to notice the bore is just a bit bigger than the bullet.

Nice choice! I was just shooting that model last week; one which my friend owns. Lots of fun.
That got me looking to buy one with the color case hardened receiver in .44 Rem Mag, but they are so hard to find.
If any knows of one at an LGS, I'd sure appreciate a PM. Thanks.

LGS has a BBS 357 for $929 today. I have not seen much of any Henrys there lately. And NO I did not bring it home, I have one.
