Enjoying a great range day with my son !

Post by fortyshooter » Sat Feb 12, 2022 7:47 pm

My son Chad has been trying to get to the range to dial in a new green dot Holosun sight on his Sig P-365 along with a new slide and threaded barrel.
After 3 rainy/snowy weekends today was the one and a nice 70F too !
I also wanted to try out my new popper and can target with the Henry pump action 22 down at the creek.

So Chad had the sight fairly close with a bore sighter and after couple rounds he had on zero and plinking the gong from 45 yds. The small pistol
shoots really well and I didn't do too bad myself. Then down to the creek for some easy plinking and some relaxing and talking while enjoying a great afternoon. https://youtu.be/HampAx2C8kc

That’s some good shooting at that distance with a micro. I have one of them and i’ve found that in mine the heavier bullets work really well. For their size the P365’s are pretty easy to shoot.

Those groups at that distance with that pistol are very good.

Nice shooting with both the firearms and the camera. Notice in the first pic of your son you caught the empty case ejecting.

I see you caught that too! Yes I took several quick pictures hoping to catch some flying brass. That Sig with the dot sight was really nice to shoot and he found with correct trigger control putting several shots in one small spot was easy to do. I would like to get my XDE fitted for that Holosun sight but can't seem to find any mount for it. Plenty of them for the XD XDM and so on.
When my silencer comes thru I just might put one of those sights on my Rossi Ranch Hand since I will fit it for silencer use and could use a bit of extra sight height to get over the can.
