Fellowship breakfast at the American Legion, one of our members needed a few cords of wood stacked so we went and knocked it out, Our big marine giving his Jarhead pose, a great bunch of folks

So this is a bit different, but then no so much.
My Wife's best friend's husband passed away a month or so ago from Covid. He was 60, in his prime, a lumber jack, a tree trimer,
a sawyer, and he plowed snow. A big strong strapping guy. He left her a mess.
My contractor friend and I went down there today to see if we could help. I am overwhelmed.
His basement, of a really nice house way out in the country and back in the woods, is full of contractor sized power
equipment. Lathes, radial arm saws, table saws, planers ect. Big heavy stuff. Bigger than I could use in my little
shop. Also thousands of board foot of dried lumber. Oak, walnut, cherry, ect. Then in a drying barn outside are
thousands more board foot of rough cut lumber drying. Thousands! Both areas are so full you can barely walk
through them. Also a portable saw mill, a bobcat, and a newer dump truck with a snow plow on it.
She is heating the house with one of those outdoor wood furnaces and she is a slight woman so I don't know
how long that can go on. His older brother was there and he's helping her, but he lives quite a ways away and
works full time.
She needs to sell it all as she only has a meager income. Wow!
She is afraid to list it as she is a widow living alone and is worried about strangers coming to look at items and seeing
her circumstances and taking advantage. We're going to try and help her.
I purchased some Cherry and one nice Walnut board, but that's about all I can use for now. My friend knows some
more contractors that might be interested.
