Our Morning Coffee and Weather

Hey Coop, did a little makeover in one of the bathrooms yesterday.RP

That looks really nice. I redid our downstairs bath room a few years back, and since that is primarily mine, I really enjoy it.
Carol and I live by ourselves in a very large home now that the children are all gone. Her bath is upstairs and mine is down.
It's really a luxury to have all this to ourselves except when the Grandkids come to stay, but they're worth the disruption.

The contractor came and found the mold was only in one spot where water had penetrated the wall. The repairs will be
minimal. Happy happy happy.

It was 36° this morning walking the dogs. Warmed up to 64° right now. The strong winds we had over the weekend blew a section of my privacy fence down. I've decided to replace it. The general and I got out this morning and got what was left of the old fence down. Ate a little lunch and now off to rent an electric auger for new post holes. I'm getting too old to do it by hand. My oldest son and I put up that fence back in 2008 after a hurricane Ike came through and knocked it down so I guess it's about time to replace.

Everything melted and gone today but that 25+ MPH wind with 40 degrees is a bit rough.

Now about that shower/toilet combo.... is that something new for small bathrooms?

Morning... hopefully snow will leave today....much melted yesterday...after today two rotten cold days they tell us... oh well , wintertime is going to be wintertime...it could be worse, I have a warm house to set in... coffee in hand....

30 heading all the way up to 32, now that’s some good temp gain.

Another gray day expected with little action in the weather dept.

Heading into Spokane to see a specialist for a possible root canal. Fun.

I'll work in the shop today on some serving trays I am making out of red oak.

Looks nice Coop! It was 55° this morning so it will be a warmer day today. The general just got home from work so we'll go to the local Home Depot and get the fence post and quick crete to set them. I'll also pick up some necessary tools. My electric hand saw got ruined last year when the pipes burst so I'll need to pick one up. Haven't decided yet whether to purchase or rent a framing nailer. I guess I'll make up my mind when I get there. I'll also see if they can deliver the other fencing materials since I no longer have a full size truck. Cooked bacon, flapjacks, and coffee this morning.

It was low teens this morning and high teens now. Wind is whipping pretty good.

Coffee is late today so it's from the Keurig in the metal mug.

I got up early and did snow blowing in my driveway so I could go to physical therapy. A stop for diesel fuel, then the Deere dealership for some sheer pins for the new snowblower as one side already needed one and then off to the local NAPA for diesel anti-gel. Back home and snow blowing the step son's driveway, bring in their packages, return fiance's car to m house after cleaning up my driveway extra nice and then now a cup of coffee.

FYI, at work the Maint. Dept. only ever provided me with grade 2 bolts instead of oem shear pins. Never had any issues using them. I would have to redo my sidewalks after the county came by on their second pass and plowed the snow from the street onto the sidewalks so my snowblower got quite the workout.

Still 42 degrees but falling down cold for two days then low teens or single digets for lows at night.....sounds a like like wintertime to this old feller. Supping coffee and planning on inside stuff except for the cow feeding. Best of luck and success in you alls projects today

Funny thing dave, the dealership looked up the model and the fellow went to the parts bin, and came back with a small box. I had asked for a half dozen after he said each side took one and the auger took one. I figured that would hold me. In the truck, I took a look and they looked just like what you were given with the nylon coated nuts to keep them on. I hadn't looked at the manual yet to see where they went. They don't go through the rod like all the other blowers I've had. Interesting. When I broke the bolt, it was from the build up from the plow at the road. No rocks or sticks.

Coffee in my thermos today as I wait for a crib / bed for my granddaughter to be delivered at their house. The box is huge and heavy and no way I can get it from the curbside to the house in my present condition, so grandma had to pay a little extra to have it brought into the house. Of course baby is having her 1 yr checkup today so I have to wait for the delivery. With a commute time of under 30 seconds, it wasn't difficult, lol.

Daytime Dave, that’s a good looking snow blowing machine you got there.

The local weatherman told me that a big storm is on it’s way to Montana, Wyoming and the Dakota’s. Roper, brm and coop (maybe) are gonna get it. Sorry.

33 today with a high later of….33. Pretty boring weather right now. Small storm tomorrow with 1-3” of snow but probably will be rain. Oh well, at least it will clean up the air somewhat. We all live in valleys around here and can get inversions that trap the surface air causing some dirty air from wood stoves and just general life like cars. Occasionally we will have a burn ban in the middle of winter for those who don’t have certified stoves. Mine is a Quadra-Fire made 80 miles away in Colville WA. It has a four burn system that produces very little emissions.

Yesterday was a root canal procedure and today is an Ai-C test and a blood draw. I hate it when I act my age.

its been a busy morning .... from 27 last night its alread up to 57 under a clear Carolina Blue sky .... with the forecast of another rain/ice/snow storm moving into our area sometime tomorrow, we decided today would be a good one to haul off our trash .... we figured it would be best to do so the earlier the better would .... we figured it right on it being a good day to do so .... the line backed up at the trash collection point it was clear that many others had the same idea .... after getting rid of the trash we headed to Walmart to pick up a few items we might need to get us through the pending storm .... when we got there it a packed parking lot and later some empty shelved made it abundantly evident that once again many others were thinking along the same line .... after getting back home I fired up our camper's generator for the first time since we were in Texas about a year ago while we were in Texas .... thankfully she fired up and ran smoothly ....
