Been awhile...

Post by RanchRoper » Sun Jan 16, 2022 2:37 pm

Finally got out to shoot. Frontier .50 cal, 50 grains Triple 7, .495 lead ball, .010 patch.

28F at sunup when I got to the range. No wind!

100 yds off hand, not bad for a rusty old guy. :)

Not bad for ANY guy shooting offhand. Very impressive as always, RR.

You sure seem to have found the perfect match with this BP shooting. Are your cartridge guns going to collect dust, now? You shoot that Pedersoli Frontier so well I don't think you gain much by going to cartridge guns.

Great shooting. At 100 yards I don't think I could see the target well enough.

I need to get the cartridge guns out soon too. Might ring some steel next week with the high wall.

RR glad to see you back in action and punching holes in paper again. From the size of that group, you and the long gun are one.

I'd say that smokepole is dialed in. Fine shooting RR.
